I'm losing my fire......NCAA's were kinda wack this year.....Knicks well you already know.....

I'm hoping and praying that the summer tourneys in the tri-state will be enough to hold me down till at least until the Knicks off-season gets on and poppin.

Anybody else losing their b-ball mojo?

not really, this has been a fun season from a non-knicks standpoint - there are so many story lines around the league.

i really enjoyed the NCAAs and watching Memphis and UCLA play.

It's hard to watch an entire game when your fav team isnt involved, especially when there is better stuff on tv and GTA4 out. But 4th quarter basketball is still worth peeping

Funny eny, I thought it was just me.

I find myself listening to the tv without watching the actual game unless the wife and kids make me isolate myself from them.

I usually tune in to see if it's close and if it is I then watch the rest of the game.

I DID THE SAME THING WITH FOOTBALL THIS until the superbowl.

Something must be in the air, coming down the pipe this yr. Another disaster before the election maybe ?

I cannot watch basketball when the knicks are losing. I cannot deal with that.

The draft is probably my favorite NBA event. I love seeing where all the college guys go and trying to predict who is going to take who. So, there's that to look forward to. And maybe this year, the Knicks will take the right guys.

Yea supreme that's really an exciting time.

Watching draft day trades, teams swaping picks and all keeps you on the edge of the unknown.

I love watching the video of each player when they announce their names in the draft.

I haven't been excited about a basketball game for a very long time... guess I've lost my bball mojo. I'm all about hockey these days with my team fighting in the NHL playoffs.

I'm not even sure I like basketball anymore. Have not really watched too many games this year, did not pay attention to the playoffs. I don't even know who is playing who right now, and I don't care enough to check. The past few Knick years have really taken the love of the game out of me. Have not been to this forum for a while either. But I feel the sentiment that Eny is talking about.
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

Yo I would love to see some of our more outspoken & negative contributors (aint namin no names...)here on UK, take their negativity uptown & start talkin that nonsense they spew, in the bleachers at the EBC or benches at Kingdome. It would be like a new national holiday called "Whup an insolent punk's ass" day & everybody would get to participate in the beatdown.

You're in Queens now, right? We should definitely play some ball soon. Time to sharpen the blades.

I never claimed to be anything but a spectator. If we have to be great ball players - and put up or shut up - then I guess I don't belong here.

Here here. I never knew the rule was you have to be a great ball player to criticize.

I don't think AxJax was saying you had to be a sick baller to criticize. If that were the case, who here could say anything? Definitely not Bip.

No-one ever said you had to be a great (or in eVIL's case even marginal) ball player in order to have an opinion on the game but it would be nice to at least be respectful of the skill level displayed by even the most hated players on the team you allegedly "root" for. But let's not re-hash old arguments, what I was telling Eny had nothing to do w/anybody's ball playing skills (no homo), but rather with the difference in the crowd reactions in MSG vs. the playground. Both can be vicious but you rarely see the blatant disrespect of someones manhood or character shouted out by someone who does not have the balls (or firearm)to back-up his/her words. To often I feel like "fans" in NBA arenas feel emboldened by their $1000 courtside corporate seats & the protection of Massa Stern, to the point that they think they can hoot & holler anything they want at the "caged animals" on display. Whereas, at the Rucker/Kingdome etc. everyone realizes that if they call into question someone's honor they better be ready to deal with that 6'9" 265lb getting in their face to question them about what they said.
Imagine the outcome, if UK posters had to deal w/some of the players about things posted here, not about B-ball cause i guess thats fair game, but about their wives/eating habits/whther or not they deserved to be shot during home invasions etc. It's all stuff that i know, if someone said to me that i (and I'm sure many here, also)would be ready to scrap over cause as the saying goes..."dems fightin woids"
NBA is boring....so is basketball mind you
