They keep riding Kobe's nuts for MVP but since acquiring Pau the Lakers are 23-5. That's 69-15 over and 82 gm season take away a win and loss from both columns 68-14.

Thats why I take looking at Mcgee so seriously. he legitimately has many of the smae skills at the same size. I could care less about develomenetal time--if that kid works hard and is on the right team--this is his potential

You need both--the team has good synergy and chemistry--they open it up for each other.

What impresses me most is his passing ability out of the post. This Lakers team is good enough for few wins even with Kobe on the bench. Put Bynum back in the mix, this is gonna be some team! Especally with PJax at the helm.
TKF on Melo ::....he is a punk, a jerk, a self absorbed out of shape, self aggrandizing, unprofessional, volume chucking coach killing playoff loser!!

Yes. Gasol knows very well Kobe is the one and only star of the team, and he is not selfish. He just makes the team better. He has to improve his intensity at the boards and play better defense, but so far, he seem to have been a Laker for years and he is playing very good basketball in spite of his ankle injury. Im happy he got his first play off win finally with a great performance.

gasol's skill set are perfect for the triangle offense and kobe is the type of offensive presence he can play Robin to but the guy who benefits the most is Odom. He can be comfy in his own skin as that third option.

This is the kind of team we could've been putting together. Instead isiah (d-head) was busy looking for flash that turned out to be a total failure.

Lets not get carried away here. Gasol had a nice game but he has Kobe on his team and Lamar Odoms. If he were a Knick he be the only guy on the team and guess what all the teams would be gearing towards stopping him. His numbers wouldn't have been this guady with the Knicks.

He would have been a nice pickup though.

This is what makes Phil Jax so great. Odom"S" on his own is a good player, but has never found his way. We know Kobe is a great talent but the chemistry of blening in Farmar, Walton, and cost around these players and to see odoms and Pau playing at a higher level is the effect of this coach.

Phil makes it work and its a thing of beauty. The level of passing in the post is so impressive. The triangle with the right players make for a higher sum then the individual pieces!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jax is the Anti Isiah!

Pau with Marbury, Nate or Craw feeding him would devalue him and his output.
