What do you guys think of this trade? I am getting really antsy and would really like this trade to go down.

New York trades: C Kurt Thomas, PG Charlie Ward, SF Latrell Sprewell
New York receives: SF Hidayet Turkoglu, C Scot Pollard, PF Rasheed Wallace

Sacramento trades: SF Hidayet Turkoglu, PG Bobby Jackson, SG Doug Christie, C Scot Pollard
Sacramento receives: SF Latrell Sprewell, SF Qyntel Woods, PG Jeff McInnis

Portland trades: SF Qyntel Woods, PG Jeff McInnis, PF Rasheed Wallace
Portland receives: PG Charlie Ward, SG Kedrick Brown, PF Antoine Walker

Boston trades: SG Kedrick Brown, PF Antoine Walker
Boston receives: C Kurt Thomas, PG Bobby Jackson, SG Doug Christie

NY Point of View - We get an ALL-STAR PF and a possible 6th man in Turkoglu in exchange for crowd favorite Spree, expiring contract Ward and Starting center KT. Scott Pollard is filler.

SAC Point of View - They get Webber buddy in Spree that will give them a SG that will not shy away from a big shot (See Christie) a PG to replace Bobby Jackson and a versatile swingman with a lot of upside.

POR Point of View - They basically swap an ALL-STAR PF for an ALL-STAR PF without the TOs and tantrums. They also get a young and long SG plus Ward's expiring contract.

BOS Point of View - You get rid of your (unwanted) ALL-STAR PF and get a starting PF, starting SG and starting PG to go with Pierce.

I think that this is a very reasonable good trade for everyone involved. I checked this at realgm and the trade works salary wise.

If that trade worked in RealGM, post the number....

Very creative idea...

True. We would be making out like bandits. But, look at the other teams then ask yourself if you were their GM. Would you do this trade?

Sacramento gets tougher with Spree. Kobe stopper? They get a versatile swingman in Woods and a PG to replace what they loose with Bobby Jackson.

Portland gets an ALL-STAR to replace their ALL-STAR and gets CAP relief via Ward. Also, they get a young and talented SG.

Boston parlays their unwanted ALL-STAR into 3 starters. They can't do better than that.

Yes it is, but this is the reason why I frequent forums like this. I get to play GM and discuss my point of views with astute people like yourself.

Yeah, I'd do it. Sheed's 17M comes off after this year... Pollard is okay... Turkoglu's contract isn't that bad...

All teams benefit.... EMail this one to Scott LayDown please.

That would certainly shake things up and all teams involved have to make changes or else they are in real trouble, however it is as mentioned above - just another pipe dream. NY has players nobody wants, contracts dont mean anything apparently to other teams either - or else NY would have been a major player in this market - no FA's and no trades coming this year boys...the Glen Rice fiasco sealed the deal on our future.
