Lampe outplayed sweetney.. I guess it is time to burn sweetney.. (rolling eyes)

Kwame Brown also stunk it up. I guess he is a bust too?

Lampe has had a tough go of opponents. Haslip one day and Kwame the next. No NBA powerhouses, but very good Summer players.

Tyrone Nesby looks like he can make the squad taking the place of postell. Good off the bench +NBA vet, next week in Utah is when guys will play over their heads ...those who want a shot at staying with the team come preseason.
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

By the end of the Summer league, one could gauge what players have the best shot...

It's still much too early to be making even knee-jerk conclusions on our Summer Leauge players. This is the time that they are supposed to go though their ups and downs.

Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

This boxscore tells me a few things - now I didnt see the game but from this and game one I can tell you this:

1) Lampe has showed slight improvement, if he can keep improving steadily this summer he should be brought in on the team and given experience.

2) Frank Williams will make the team and if Chaney is smart he wont be keeping the bench cosy this season.

3) Sweetney is going to struggle as are all of our players. We are going through a transition not a quick fix. Just because these guys have potential doesnt mean they will actually make it.

We have 3 young players who could become NBA players. I think that is more then enough to be happy about at the moment and now lets watch them grow.

How about some playing time for Lampe, 18min, and Vranes, 11min. How are supposed to guage a player in 11 MINUTES!! Give me a break.

What the hell do i care what Troy Ostler could do in 10 minutes!?

Give some minutes to our draft picks!!

Kwame has been horrible. seriously, Lampe's shoes look like they don't fit, and Kwame's shoe fell off while he was playing defense! - The entire crowd erupted in laughter!

I happened to be in Boston for MJ's last game in the Fleet Center (or whatever it's called) and saw Kwame up close for the first time. I don't know if it's youth or inexperience or what, but the guy seems to have zero bball intelligence. Even with a vet like Mike directing traffic, Kwame seemd utterly lost on every play.

Good point, the kid does seem lost, but it is just that he is immature as a player and a person. He is more interested in those crazy hairdo's than he is at making himself a better player. That is why I laugh when these writers are critiquing Lampe who seems to have a high bball IQ from what I read and he is a great Listener. It takes dicipline to be a good player, Lampe speaks 5 languages fluently one of them being english, the kid is smart, plus he WANTS to be a great player, another player is Kobe, speaks 2 languages, he is diciplined and motivated. Now before people go crazy, I am not comparing Lampe to Kobe, I am just saying basketball is mental also, skill of course plays a part but the good players know how to mentally prepare themselves to utilize their great skill to the fullest. Brown is still stuck on go!!!!!

I beleive that Layden is holding on to the Mid-Level Exception for Lampe. Lampe is going to need this for his buyout.

Don't you mean "park"?

I totally with your assessment that a bball player must be disciplined and motivated to succeed. This is true in any form, be it in the classroom, boardroom or the basketball court. Kwame needs to grow up fast and stop reading all those old press clippings leading to him being selected #1 overall.
