Guys, I need to upgrade my storage for video files, and I am thinking about buying a big external hard drive for my MacBook. I woul only put large video files (movies, shows, sports games, ...) on it, and watch the files directly from that drive (my MacBook is linked to my HDTV via mini-DVI). I don't need that hard drive for backing up documents or other files.

Based on those needs, what ext. HD should I use ?
- what connection do I need ? Firewire, USB2, sata ?
- what size offers the best price/quality ratio ? I think I need at least 500GB, 1TB would cover my needs for a bit longer though !
- what brand are the most reliable ?
- what brand has the best design (always important when you're a Mac user ;)

I would love to hear your advice. I'll be going to NYC next week and plan on getting it over there. My initial preference goes for Western Digital, but they have so many choices that I'm a little bit confused about what I need.
