Hammond Becomes Milwaukee's GM April 11, 2008 - 1:40 pm ESPN - John Hammond, who has been pursued in recent years by Portland, Toronto and others, has been hired by the Milwaukee Bucks to become their general manager, according to front office sources.
Hammond's first task will be hiring a veteran coach, according to sources.
Milwaukee also considered David Griffin, Rick Sund and Billy King, Washington Wizards executive Tommy Sheppard and the two top aides to R.C. Buford in San Antonio: Dennis Lindsey and Dell Demps.
I know this is a reach, but with Hammond moving on to Milwaukee, a spot has opened up in the Pistons organization. Detroit is probably the only organization that may open its arms to their fallen star Isiah. Hopefully Isiah see's this as an out and may not fight to stay on.
This move by Milwaukee also opens the door for King to join Walsh's side in NY being that King was passed over for the job out there. Just a thought. A desperate one, but a thought nonetheless.

Or is it just me.....
As to the article it appears that Milwaukee thinks it grossly underachieved and all it needs is "the right GM" and "the right coach" and the team will just automatically win games.
Maybe they should - weren't they nearly leading the east 2 seasons ago before a ton of injuries hit them?

When I read the title im my mind I was thinking he was saying Becky Hammond was going to be GM of Milwaukee for the WNBA.
We should target one of the front office guys Dennis Lindsey and Dell Demps from the Spurs to become our GM. Spurs international scouting and Spurs cap managment has been the best in the NBA for like 10yrs.
Maybe they should - weren't they nearly leading the east 2 seasons ago before a ton of injuries hit them?
