To the BIG NCAA junkies who were able to watch both of them play.

Brandan Wright from UNC last season? Drafted by Golden State warriors.
Or Anthony Randolph from LSU?

Both seemed to have been around the same size at 6'10 200. Both compared to Chris Bosh.

Wright averaged 14.7pts, 6.8rebs, 1.8blks, 1.0stl, 1.0ast, per game. As Freshmen
Randolph averaged 15.6pts, 8.5rebs, 2.3blks, 1.1sts, 1.2ast per game. As Freshmen

Probably Wright among most. Only b/c he played at UNC. I honestly haven't seen Randolph. I'd love to hear people's take on him.

I was not a fan of Brandon Wright. I didn't think he was that good of a player. He hasn't played at all......he's in Golden State right? A team that lacks much muscle inside and they can't find him minutes? That team also has that other young guy....that center prospect. They might have 2 gems.....or pebbles.

They are totally different players. If Brandon Wright was compared to Bosh then someone made a big mistake. The Randolph/Bosh comparisons are spot on though. Like Bosh coming out of college, Randolph comes with great ball-handling ability, he's a defensive force, he can play the blocks, he hit knock down the J. He was hurt like alot of players becuase he was played in the south and the SEC on a down year, so he got no love, but he has a ton of ability.

I think Randolph is much better coming out of college than Wright was last year. Never liked Wright and I honestly don't see the Bosh comparison in the slightest.

Draft Express is very much down on his shooting & the fact that he gets pushed around easily. True?

Two different type players. Wright is more of an efficient strictly interior player who can also get out on the break--he's probably perfect for GS style in the long term as he adds weight. His FG% in college was very high because he was primarily shooting at the rim.

Randolph also would be a guy who can flourish in a fast-paced system yet can also be helpful in the halfcourt. He is not as efficient as Wright because he is much more of an outside/inside player and I mean all the way out to the 3 point line. I like him in the post but he can attractively take the ball from the perimeter and drive with a very quick first step. I think some of his problems stem from settling for a jump-shot[which he does have nice lefty form on]and using the ball-handling skills to much. So you will get some bad shots and TO's that should be very correctable. Things that I think he can really do well--he is easily 6-10+ yet he can literally pull the ball off the backboard for a rebound and take the ball up court like a guard and go the distance with a ton of speed --fast with the ball despite being 6-10. He's VERY disruptive defensively but not strong enough yet to hold back guys like Boozer from scoring at will 1-1 in the post. He's very very long and when he does take that first step from the perimeter---it appears as if he can take one dribble from the 3 point line and be at the hoop because his stride is so long. He certainly is a very attractive prospect---a true hybrid type PF who has worlds of potential because of his multitude of skills. Looks like he plays hard--I never saw him floating like guys like donte greene or even a beasley does on occasion--he seems into the game at all times--he gives good effort and should be a great rebounder on the NBA level as he gets stronger because of his length and very decent motor. If I had to compare players--I would say Brandan Wright is much more Hakim Warrwick and Randolph seriously does have the potential to be a Bosh type PF. It would be hard for this player to be a bust--I don't know anything about his character but the only thing that would hold this type of player back from being a an all star level NBA player is his mentality. If he's a hard worker off the court and puts in the effort it takes to be great--he will be great.

How's his shotblocking and do you think Randolf will be a good defender? I remember CHanning Frye played hard on defense too but sucked(s). Heck, David Lee plays hard on D too but isn't that good either.
