I can't think of a shooting guard that's flat out better than him in this draft. He's a damn good all around player.

He should be getting lottery mention. Derrick Rose is good and all that but CDR is quietly carrying Memphis with the HELP of Rose.

Guys like gordon and bayless have already declared. Good for them.......honestly, I would be more than happy to take douglas-roberts over both.

Knicks need another pick.....I'm greedy enough to say 2 more draft picks. I'm greedy enough to also say I want the Knicks to draft rose, dorsey and CDR! Go Donnie!

rose cdr and mcgee

Cosign that!!!
I like Dorsey too but Id prefer a Love or McGee.
We need more picks and cap space...
Id love to see a potential line-up like

Bosh, Love, good two-way SF, CDR and Rose... in 2010!!!!
I really think id prefer that over LBJ...

CDR reminds me of Carney and just like him I don't see his game being all that effective on the next level.

he has 1 hand and not a lot of poise to compensate...
the stop underrating David Lee movement 1. FIRE MIKE 2. HIRE MULLIN 3. PAY AVERY 4. FREE NATE!!!

I don't see all the fuss for this guy, every time I watch this kid he is out of control shooting not even thinking of passing. I know he is a shooting guard but you make the right(easy) play not shoot no mater what.
In the Knick of time. Knickal for Your thoughts.

CD Roberts strikes me as a role player, at best. In the pros, he'll be, more or less, completely unable to get past anyone off the dribble. Average perimeter shooter. Poor strength, average defender. Mediocre rebounder.

I think his best bet to be a star is taking advantage of the high release on his jumper by mastering the wing iso
a la Allan Houston. In other words, 1-2 dribble pull up jumpers from 17 feet. But, he's got a world of work to do to even begin approaching Houston's efficiency.
Sh-t in the popcorn to go with sh-t on the court. Its a theme show like Medieval times.

Ok so is he better than Gordon? At the very least, is he not worthy of a first round selection? Draft sites got him going in the SECOND RND.

CDR is a late first rounder at best.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

CDR will be the kind of player who is picked late round 1[maybe mid] but ends up being better than many players picked before him. He reminds me very much of Rip Hamilton--very similar build--with the savvy and toughness of a winner. He is very long for a 2 guard and while he doesn't have the elite athleticism[who said Rodney Carney????] he possess's excellentoverall skills both ways and mental toughness. He can score in a multitude of ways inside outside he can handle and he probably is the most under rated player in CBB. He is excellent at backing down smaller guards[and most of them are smaller since he is 6-7] he hits the open mid range and 18 footer. He may struggle a little bit physically like Hamilton did when he first entered the NBA but I suspect he will be a 16-17 point scorer on a team that is very good at some point. CDR is the type of player you want on your team because he is a tough winner. I also like the fact that he has been a consistent 53+% shooter from the floor for his career. I think he will need to improve his foul line game and strengthen his body along with cardio for the next level but these types of players put in the hard work.

I think he is a real key guy for Memphis against Kansas moreso than Rose. I think that Rose will not be able to dominate the way he has because they have stronger faster guards than they are used to playing[and more of them]and will be seeing the double team--- the only guy who can check CDR is Rush but I have to wonder if they actually put Rush on him. I like Kansas to win but I think if Memphis will be close and more people will see why CDR is so under rated.

Also I want to emphasize with CDR is the defensive end. I think more and more Knick fans realize the importance of two way players. A lot of these smaller combo guards don't offer the complete package of two way play CDR does. If you did a Bill James analysis on CDR my bet is he would rank numbers wise as the top 2 guard prospect. People tend to forget how skinny Rip was for Uconn--not a great leaper--but was savvy and tough just like CDR--he did ride his NC to a top 10 pick and I think CDR will be just behind him--perhaps in the 13-17 area when all is said and done.

Already too many questions.
I'll never trust this' team again.
