back into the 80's and 90's he took big players
Antonio Davis 6-9
Dale Davis 6-11
Rik Smits 7-3
Reggie Miller 6-8
Chuck Person 6-8
Wayman Tisdale 6-9
Mailk Sealy 6-9
George Mccloud 6-6
Eric Dampier 6-11
Austin Croshere--6-10
Al Harrington 6-9
and traded for Jonathon Bender 7-0

the one small player he took was Travis Best late in the 1st round

this may give a true avenue where his mind is. I doubt we take an eric gordon.

ROTFLOL why would he have taken any top flight to above average 2's when he had Reggie Miller? You do realize he helped advise Bird on who to draft so you have to include drafts all the way up to the present. Fred Jones and where's Jamal Tinsley a trade in 2001 on draft night. I don't think Gordon will be on our Radar because Walsh probably considers Jamal a keeper. That will be unfortunate if this proves to be the case.

My belief is that he was probably a guy who said OK the last several years. When he was the princible during the Pacer peak years--he took very big players. He loaded the team with big players and then traded for Mark Jackson. In terms of Reggie Miller I think that he mentioned there was huge pressure to take 6-1 Steve Alford. His recipe of drafting big and trading for smaller players put them in the ECF 6 times.

add Jalen Rose to the list.

* there was an article about Walsh being ready to go with Prince but let IT have the ultimate call...

* Jamaal Tinsley showed the Palace Brawl season not only is he a good point guard but he also is a guy who can keep a team together...he just can't stay healthy

* and in the 05 draft he advised Bird not to trade the pick and take Granger. If that draft is redone, Granger goes no lower than 5...
the stop underrating David Lee movement 1. FIRE MIKE 2. HIRE MULLIN 3. PAY AVERY 4. FREE NATE!!!

So if you look at the way he has done things my bet is he would take Beasley #1. I remember they did take a combo guard named Vern Fleming but he ended a bust.

i believe he took vonteego cummings with a mid 20s pick at one point. but, yes, he has primarily drafted big and had success. which is good, we could use an impact player who was 6'8" or above. or how about a two way player who was 6'8" or above?
