ZACH LOOKING FOR CHANGES By MARC BERMAN April 2, 2008 -- MILWAUKEE - Donnie Walsh - after removing Isiah Thomas from the bench - is expected to try to trade Zach Randolph's contract. Good luck, Donnie. Randolph realizes he'll be wearing a "for sale" sign around his neck this summer. "Yeah, I just got to be ready [for a trade]," Randolph said before the Knicks fell to the Bucks, 119-115, in overtime at Bradley Center last night. "Whatever happens, I have to be ready, wherever I'm at." Randolph, who scored 19 points, claims he wants to return, but would like changes made, whether it's the roster or the coach. He hardly endorsed Thomas. Nearly dealt to the Bucks, Randolph had a run-in on the bench with Thomas in December and has questioned why he was brought to town. Asked if this team can win next season, Randolph said, "If they make changes. Depends on who's here, what's going on. Whatever they do with the team, how they change it up." Does that mean a coaching change? "I don't know," Randolph said. "However they change it up." In the book of Thomas' biggest gaffes, the Randolph trade is the last chapter. Not only did he hurt chemistry with his slew of contested shot attempts, his lazy transition defense encouraged teams to run on the Knicks. Randolph's contract is a killer, running tortuously to 2011. Making $17.5 million in his last year, Randolph's presence gives them no hope of being under the cap after the 2010 season when LeBron James can become a free agent. "I'm happy here," Randolph said, unconvincingly. * The Knicks got a late gift, with Quentin Richardson getting fouled behind the 3-point line with one second left, down two. But Richardson made only two of three free throws, forcing overtime. marc.berman@nypost.com "OMG - did we just go on a two-trade-wining-streak?" -SupremeCommander

We'll be lucky to get an expiring contract for him. LUCKY. This guy is a loser and everyone knows it. Even Milwaukee didn't want him for garbage.

Posted by tkf: I don't feel embarrassment for Marbury, I feel embarrassment for Knicks fans when I see that. Hopefully Donnie puts an end to that garbage and Knicks fans can start to feel something we haven't felt in a long long time. Pride. If it didn’t work in Phoenix with Nash and Stoutamire... it’s just not a winning formula. It’s an entertaining formula, but not a winning one. - Derek Harper talking about D'Antoni's System

Posted by martin:Posted by eViL: Cleveland needs low post scoring and have no use for Snow. They might be bite. They would be fools, but they might bite. Honestly, I think Joe Smith is as good as Randolph in terms of his overall game. We might have to throw in Balkman or Nate to get it done, but if it gets Randolph's contract off our books and a draft pick, we have to do it. Trust the Process
