Lee Nate and Marbury
for Kenyon Martin resigned JR Smith to a 5 year 35mm$ contract and pick 14

That rids Denver of their contract mess and they get three high quality players two of which fit in extremely well with their high tempo style. They get rid of the Martin contract.

the knicks right now have 2 tradeable assets...david lee and their lotto pick.

you do not use david lee to acquire kmart and jr smith.

you use david lee to acquire another lotto pick (higher than 14) OR to dump a really bad contract.

if the point is to start purging the roster...then purge it. not bring back a microfracture guy and a headcase.

The contracts of Marbury and Rose are also tradable assets.

I hate Kenyon "overrated" Martin, but I would do that trade, its a good idea, though Im not sure Denver likes that.

You realize how much trash we'd have to take back to trade Marbury?

I'm going to pass on this trade Briggs.

While I do like JR Smith, I would be hopeful that we can just him outright rather than have to take back Kenyon Martin as well.

I think we can get alot more for Lee than Kenyon Martin, I'd rather hold out and see whats what come draft-time.

Maybe we can just sign him to a full MLE--there is no doubt that Denver is at it's peak in terms of cash?

I think this approach should be done except unload more than just one. We need to do 2. My preference would be to move Curry and Q with Lee. A team get's a solid role player who can rebound with the best of them, a post scorer and a shooter who can stretch the floor back willing. We should be able to get back possibly 2 picks and attractive first rounder and second rounder.

Sacramento
Pacers
Bucks
Nugz
Nets

These are the best and most realistic trading partners.

That's a much better idea but to take back more bad contracts is suicide. You never know what can happen with Martin's health and we're already in a horrid jam with Zach and Curry. We need to get rid of both of those guys before we can even talk about Kenyon Martin. Just let Marbury's contract burn, and if you wanna trade Nate and Lee, trade them for draft picks and if you really want Smith, then sign him to part of or the full MLE.

Personally, I don't think we're getting him for the MLE. But that's just me.

I never said we had to. I just said if you want him, don't sign and trade for him and take back putrid contracts.

Neither do I. It's more than likely they match any MLE offer or if a team wants to work a S&T they'll act upon it if it's to their benefit. No way a team signs him for the MLE and they let him walk for nothing.

JR is toxic. Perhaps on a team with a strong character like the Spurs can meld him in a team player but on our knick team. We pair him with Crawford?

What???????? Hopefully this is just another one of those bad April fools jokes. Otherwise Briggs you need to hit up the mental hospital ASAP!!

And what cracks me up the most is when Knickwits such as Briggs propose trades like this and somehow ALWAYS manage to stick in the other team ridding themselves of a contract mess. Thats how you can spot a Zeke lover or someone whose cheered on all the Zeke moves. I mean GOD DAMN why is it the OTHER team that rids themselves of a contract mess and not us?!?!?!? If it's a mess in Denver, how is going to not be a mess in NY?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? Unreal.

Please for the love of God, all you Zeke lovers GO AWAY!!! Your ideas are shyt and it's what has brought us to the present mess we're in!

JR Smith is one of the worst character guys in the league. Briggs I usually agree what your saying but we need good people on this team

You didn't get Brigg's memo we're still trying to build around Curry hence bye bye Lee. I went back and looked at the original post again only to realize we still have Curry and Zach while adding K-Mart plus a very talented headcase(he has matured some).
