excerpt: In which aspect of your game have you improved the most?

ML: I would say that everything. Now I’m definitely stronger. I have a bigger body so I can do some damage in the pick and roll. When I was in the NBA I wasn’t in great shape. My outside shot has improved... I feel more comfortable in the court, an important player for my team.

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

better excerpt:
Were the Knicks already a mess when you arrived in August 2003?

ML: I don’t know, I wasn’t too much around... It’s difficult to play there. The practice facility is too far away from the arena. I played for four teams and I can tell you it wasn’t the best organization by then.

he's 23- I would call him in 2 seconds and see about getting him into either training camp or summer league.

We get killed by bigs that can shoot the 3 - and we don't have one unless you count zach and I think we all wish he wasn't on the team.

Just more shrimp on the barbie.

It would be cool to have their practice facility in manhatten but come on.....traffic is a bitch and not everybody wants to live in the city especially if they have kids.
Lampe is just trying to get laid bros, trust me.

He had a game as a Hornet where he just went off. I saw the game. I'm down for inviting him if he wouldn't mind giving this class less organization another shot.

The kid likely got bad advice to come early at 18.

Not many bigs can survive at that age.

And, he came into caos!

THe league has changed also more in the last 4 seasons and his game is more adaptable. Used to be a big who ran the floor and shot well from the parimeter was "Soft". Now they are desirable.

Isiah hates Euros!

Well, he was the MVP of his league last year and is currently averaging a double double. Maybe it is time to take a good look at him.

MVP in the Russian league.....there are some big naty mofos over there. This would be a good time to sign him before someone else does.

Check out his roster....he was on the second best team in this league.....he's playing with Daniel Ewing from Duke fame, and Pat Burke.

Pat Burke is a bum along with Daniel Ewing compared to NBA standards

Lampe needs to stop running his mouth. That's all he ever did.

He's a bust, unfortunately. It is sad looking back that he got his name chanted by Knick fans at the draft. That kind of honor should not have been bestowed upon Lampe at the time but we all thought he would've been better than he is now.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

Lampe...dang. I remember he was supposed to be the next Dirk when Knicks drafted him. He says he now have upper-body strength and jump shot has improved. Plus being MVP of a russian basketball league is not too shabby. I forgive, give this kid another chance and invite him to summer league. Doesn't hurt to give him a 2nd chance.
Knicks are happening and have a Unicorn.

Isiah won't but a new GM might give Lampe a serious look. He showed some good signs in the NBA--he just came in to young. Lampe is right thought about the frikin trek the Knicks players have to get to practice--well if they live in NYC

I think Malik is the only player that lives in manhatten. The rest live outside the city.

The facility actually isn't that far from manhatten. The traffic can get crazy though. It does look more like a bomb shelter than a NBA facility though.

Lampe will be a fan favorite for obvious reasons. Now pass the cheetos
