This is my conclusion.

With Dolan's insistence on keeping Isiah, it is now finally clear he does not care about winning and knows little about the game of basketball. He just prefers personal relationships with people over whatever the results are on the court. He did the same thing with Sather, except the Rangers had some luck with the CBA and the fact that they actually rebuilt under a championship GM. The same thing wont happen to Isiah. If he ever decides to fire him, it will be too late.

The franchise is already irrelevant at this point. In 10-15 years, nobody will be "dying" to work at the Garden and no free agent is going to want to sign here(we wouldn't have the cap room anyway). The Knicks are headed down a path of failure not even the great Donald Stirling could think of. The Knicks will be more irrelevant than the Clippers soon. It's going to happen eventually. The demise of such a great franchise at the hands of a fat egomaniac who has had everything given to him on a silver platter his entire life. What a sad way for a once-proud franchise to go out. Red Holzman and Dave Debuscherre are rolling over in their graves.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

You guys are going too crazy over this stuff. We don't even know if Walsh is the guy coming here. Only sourses have been saying stuff. Some say Isiah is gone. Some say Isiah stayed. Personally, the Knicks are kind of like a real stupid chick. Just not worth the hastle or going crazy over right now.

Basically that is stating the obvious. Didn't you notice since Dolan lays his mittens on the Knicks the day he ousted Dave Checketts, it's been downhill or mediocrity hell from then on. This is the one year we have a shot at the top 2 picks that isn't owned by another team. It is almost been 10 years dude.

Dolan will need to keep him to get things under...

I can tell you right now that make up sex is NOT in the books this time. She called me ugly so I felt it was only nescessary that I her that "Her IQ is at the bottom of the barrel" and that she has "Low standards" and that I'm "I'm too good for her."

lmao

Where else is she gonna find a guy who's willing to step to the plate so quickly by asking her for makeup sex? No where. I am displaying leadership and she clearly needs to follow.

With Dolan's insistence on keeping Isiah, it is now finally clear he does not care about winning and knows little about the game of basketball.

It's finally clear? No, not you GKFv2! This has been an opinion for a number of years now. Well, good to see you crossed over finally. Better late than never.
I'll never trust this' team again.

I'm sure that would be pretty offensive to a few here also. And one of those 'stupid chicks' sued the Knicks for millions for the very type of view applied here.

He just prefers personal relationships with people over whatever the results are on the court. He did the same thing with Sather, except the Rangers had some luck with the CBA and the fact that they actually rebuilt under a championship GM. The same thing wont happen to Isiah. What a sad way for a once-proud franchise to go out. here is what I will add... on one hand we all hate Dolan for obvious reasons.

On the other hand, he is the perfect owner: No cap to spending, hires a GM/Pres and lets him do what he pleases.

Now, Dolan obviously chose the wrong guy in Isiah, but if West, Colangelo or Walsh has the same free will as Isiah has had, I have no complaints (except for the dumbass media policy).

That is true but there's a pattern of Dolan wanting the gm to change the roster of the team for a win now mode which we know hasn't worked for a while now. Now free reign that's something else suppose Walsh or a basketball genius was hired and wanted to strip down this team and keep few assets they have plus the lotto pick coming up? This is rebuilding and more likely a couple more losing seasons as rebuilding progresses. Dolan hasn't really gone through this phase if at all.

not sure I understand 100% of what you are saying but I will add this: Part of the jog of the Pres/GM is to sell a plan to an owner and to make the owner come on board with that plan not matter the preconceived notions of Dolan or whomever, otherwise, don't take the job.

Don't Hate The Dolan - Hate The Shareholders

The NewsCorp/Cabelvision ownership of MSG and The NYKnicks is a given and not subject to change in the near future. I, for one, do not hate James Dolan. It is a waste of time.

Nor is the Cablevision infrastructure the the best architecture for a professional sports franchise. There are too many layers of titles to accurately assign responsibility. The re-distribution of Isiah Thomases three titles (President/General Manager/Head Coach) and authority is enough for 3 new people.

Media policy aside, the next MSG power struggle will be for autonomy at the highest level

I don't get the feeling the 67 year old Walsh will be in a mood to negotiate with James Dolan

What I was saying is since when has Dolan accepted a rebuilding job for the Knicks? Look at the GMs he has hired over the years since Checketts and Grunfeld were gone. This is a case of has Dolan turned the corner? Is he finally going to accept and say yes the knicks need to rebuild and start from scratch?
