From Insider:

Knicks Interest West
Three people with ties to Jerry West told Newsday yesterday that the Hall of Famer would be interested in running the Knicks if the job were offered to him.

"He would definitely take the job," said one of the people, a former executive in the league familiar with West's thinking as he weighs his options almost a year after retiring from his post with the Memphis Grizzlies.

"I have not had any contact from anyone about any job, period," West told Newsday. "I have not been approached. I do not know what my response would be to any job opportunity, but I'm not out actively campaigning for anything."

This was mentioned a few days ago. It's simply a rumor and the Times has already said it is highly unlikely. I don't believe West would work for Dolan anyway. At his age, he doesn't need it.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

isn't he the same age as donnie walsh? for a 4-year-deal to put the team moving in the right direction, its certainly better than isiah.

Vescey is about as reliable as the crackhead in a Harlem street corner.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

Did West do the trade for Rudy Gay? Or was it done after he left Memphis?

Give him some time to learn about and then meet with Dolan and we'll get Walsh part II, or even worse, Brown part II.

Don't worry about his age. Most of the time he's sitting on his ass watching basketball. As long as he isn't going senile, he could probably run the Garden until he's 80 and do it better than 99% of the clowns running front offices today.

Hey don't knock the reliability of our Harlem crackheads. They live on the street yet stil manage to find $10 twice a day or at least the latest dvd's or glazed ham to trade......these mofo's are efficient!

That was West who did that trade...and it was obviously a very good one.

Jerry West is retired and living in a very large mansion in Memphis. He still has nighmares about Walt Frazier lighting him up in game 7.

Bring back Ernie Grunfeld with a promotion as President of Basketball Ops. Make him an offer he cannot refuse.
