I think Isiah coaches young players well, they are willing to listen to him. I think this is the reason The University of Indiana should reach out to him and ask him to run their program. Isiah is a deplorable NBA GM but overall I don't think hes a terrible coach and I think he would be able to recruit very well with his slickster ways.
Isiah is good at making friends with players but is otherwise a crappy coach to them. I can't think of a player who got dramatically better over the past few years and who has done so from the making of Isiah.
Maybe, I think right now its a poor time to judge, this whole atmosphere is just terrible, but that's also Isiah's doing haha. You're right, he's always seemed more interested in being their friend.
I think in a college atmosphere though, Isiah would work pretty well, maybe it's just me.
