I don't know about Mike Breen who says this is unacceptable--but the crowd had a fun time tonight[40 point third Q] they gave good effort and lost. We need to evaluate these players--it's more likely we will lose with them--but that is also a scenario where we can help ourselves. Getting a meaningless win means nothing unless the rookies will it to a W--they almost did that tonight in the 3rd. Overall this is BY FAR the best strategy for the organization and I think almost everyone here will agree with that. I doubt there will be one dissenting voice on this topic.

we should extend isiah again...

yeah, it's good to see, but it makes me worry that he's secure enough in his job to tank.

Dude, even our young players are nothing special. Losing by 14 to the Grizzlies is hardly playing hard. The Knicks were in the game in the 3rd simply because the Grizz suck ass.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

Giving up 120 points at home to the Teddy Bears is more telling.

As if by design and as if he had any other option. Please!

The man has so much security, that it would take him two-hundred years just to die.
I'll never trust this' team again.

He finally was given a job that he can be successful at. His smug smile is very annoying. The fact that he is resting or sitting out starters gives the impression that he could win with them if he played,"his guys". However, he has not been able to win all year and is truly a laughingstock. He needs to go.

I'm with you on this. The papers keep saying we are "tanking". What were we doing earlier in the season with all our starters? Was that called winning?
I just hope that people will like me

I think Isiah coaches young players well, they are willing to listen to him. I think this is the reason The University of Indiana should reach out to him and ask him to run their program. Isiah is a deplorable NBA GM but overall I don't think hes a terrible coach and I think he would be able to recruit very well with his slickster ways.

Isiah is good at making friends with players but is otherwise a crappy coach to them. I can't think of a player who got dramatically better over the past few years and who has done so from the making of Isiah.

Maybe, I think right now its a poor time to judge, this whole atmosphere is just terrible, but that's also Isiah's doing haha. You're right, he's always seemed more interested in being their friend.

I think in a college atmosphere though, Isiah would work pretty well, maybe it's just me.

IT is a terrible person in general, why would a college program, or anybody give him a job?

They guy is a proven failure as a businessman (the ABA), as a coach (talented Indy team went nowhere with him, and his NY record speaks for itself), and a GM (do I have to even talk about why for this one?).

He is also a proven low character guy, as per the Anucka business, and several others reports from his business partners with the ABA.

Oh, and I did not even get into his work for the Raptors. I would not shake hands with this man, and would have a strong desire to spit in his face, let alone have him tutor college athletes.
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

I agree with everything you have said.

Here's the thing though, everything you said is also the norm at Indiana University.

The only way Isiah can do the right thing is if he stepped in front of an oncoming bus. Everything else is just window dressing.

He has been doing this the entire time. However, this year we did not see a chemistry/cap killing trade because the chemistry and team were already so bad. All he needs to do now is find a player who has a tragic flaw or has tremendous character but has an uninsurable contract because of an injury and trade this years lottery pick for that player. If he does this I can honestly say that he has a plan/vision for how he builds a team.
