Bayless, Mayo and now Thabeet are out.

I'd be really interested in trying to get a mid first round pick to draft Thabeet if he's going to fall.

I wonder if poor tournie showings drop Bayless and Mayo or if they decide to go back to school?

I thought Bayless was soft, griped to the officials and was awful last night.

I thought the same. This draft sucks, lol. I'm looking forward to seeing these no name kids duke it out in the tourney.

Pitt has some good nyc talent. The pg is from brooklyn.

yeah, bayless looked bad.

mayo still looked pretty good. he probably didn't drop out of the top 5, really. but it is a horrible draft. beyond derrick rose and beasley, i don't know how many uber impact players there are. still, there are some savvy guards around. i'd like to grab a savvy guard and maybe trade for a mid first round pick and nab thabeet.

question:

if we don't get a top two pick, do you trade down for multiple picks? i still think michael gordan will be very good in the nba, but he's so undersized.

what about trading, say the #5 pick to someone like NJN for the #11 and #23 and marcus williams? it seems NJN is committed to devin harris at PG for the time being... just throwing it out there...

I hope this is the same thought if Rose or Beasley get bounced their next game.

Thabeet lowered his value a lot in this tounament. He should have dominated the game from an offensive and defensive point of view and wasn't able to deliver. Tallest guy on the opposing team was 6'6''. I'm sorry folks but the way Thabeet played was softer than Curry ever played.

He's a stiff and he played like one. He needs to stay 4 years. If hhe does and works hard he could justify the hype he gets. Still, he is like one of 4 possible center or 7fters that might go in the first round.....he can still get drafted pretty high just cuz of that.

In my mind Thabeet is definitely a 4 year guy. At least 3 to develop some kind of offensive game and instincts. But I fear he will leave this year.
I just hope that people will like me

If he comes out like I said he is like 1 of 4 center prospects in this entire draft. Someone will give him that guranteed money.

I'm gonna compare him to the sleepy sloth Hibbert of G-town. Last year hibbert probably coulda went lottery.....nah I'd say definately. Now a lot of draft boards have him ranked like 3rd or 4th at center. Did he get worse? No........I think he realized that he has a lot to learn about himself and the game. He's not afraid. He shows passion at times. I think he see's how good he can be. Even now he drifts in and out. Still, when he is on his game he can play with anybody. He stood toe to toe with oden last year. Why not pick Hibbert with the 5th pick?

I'm just comparing.....thabeet just isn't ready and the midgets he just faced proved that. Hibbert on the other hand may be ready to go. This tourney should be his coming out sort of.

i've seen beasley and rose play a lot more games and they stand out a lot more, even in their quiet games.

though, i remember chris paul had a mediocre tournament the year before he came out and he dropped from being no.2 pick to no.4 and that was obviously a mistake.

but the point of the thread was i think people tend to overreact to tournament losses and drop draft value. briggs is knocking gordon and bayless out of the lotto already... they can make it back up the charts in the workouts and stuff, i'm sure,
