He sure has a big smile on his face again. And it's that little smirk he always has when he's up to something. So much for the poll we took of him staying or being gone.

I can see Little Jimmy keeping him around - just to spite the media and fans who want him to make this move.

Yes, he is that full of himself.

I hope Stern saw the article and contacted Dolan. Does the NBA have a best interest for the game clause that could allow Stern to suspend Dolan and fire Isiah? It is such a joke. In addition to being totally incompetent not succesful, and damaging the team for the future with horrible roster/cap moves, Isiah has embarrassed the team with the sexual harrasment law suit, the fight against the Nuggets, his racist statements, his verbal altercations with the courtside fans. I know Stern does not want to have another draft where the fans are chanting Fire Isiah thru the entire event.

I think Isiah is happy because Dolan told him he'll get his 20mil and perhaps still keep one of his jobs. I think we'll have a new GM, one who is told he'll need to keep Isiah.
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

Knicks will be restructured. My bet is Isiah loses player personell control but stays on as coach. As long as he has no power in who is picked/traded--I don't care if he coaches. We are not winning next year unless we get Beasley and make some other good moves.

A coach is supposed to give input on draft picks. Isiah being here would change nothing. The culture of the team would remain the same and Thomas is almost as bad a coach as he is a GM. I said almost though because his GM atrocities do not match that of his coaching atrocities.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

Awesome. Then the new GM can stand in the bleachers and stare impassively while Isiah tries to coach his team.

Then, after a while, Isiah can be escorted from the Garden Don Chaney Style.

Well, the main reason the Feds got involved with the baseball steroid scandal was because when a huge economic enterprise is threatened, then that effects a part of the economy. It is the thing the Government needs to try to keep healthy, in order to keep the monies going round and round. If what happened last year, if it wasn't exposed by the Feds, then the fans might not of considered coming back to the games, in protest. But because of the fact that the Feds did' intervene, showed the fans that something would be done about it.

It all comes down to economics. Back in the 80's, when Stienbrenner was running the entire orgainzation into the ground, that was considered a big black eye in baseball. The Yankees are one of the biggest markets in all of sports and when this was going down, the old commioner of baseball, Giamati (I think that's the correct spelling) suspended George for about a year or two. Hence, the organization was able to get back on track and eventually won a W.S. starting in 1996.

So you see what intervention can do to help large businesses that are being mismanaged? This would be the very same scenario that Stern would be able to take, to correct the situation. And the only excuse he can use (and it's true) is that the Knicks, in NYC, are one of biggest markets in all of the NBA. By letting this disaster continue the way it is, and the fact that the fans constantly are yelling 'fire isiah' is a reason for Stern to intervien. This situation is hurting a big part of the NBA market and Stern can no longer let that happen. And this is exactly why he is making this big move and basically warning' dolan that there better be big changes.

I still think there are gonna be some big buyouts on this team when the season is over with. dolan can afford to buy out. Hell, he's already spent millions upon millions doing it the last several years. But the larger picture of this buyout scenario is 'because the Knicks have such huge market, they will instantly get back all' of their money and millions more, if and when they get rid of some of the problem and bring in some players who can turn this whole thing around, then the team will have instant and major credibility again and the Knick market will sustain itself once again.

A few of you have already said it yourself. When the point was made about people not going to Knick games anymore, because of this disaster, you said that it didn't matter, that there will always be people filling those seats, because the market was so big.

The point to all of this is 'NY is one of the premier markets and when a market this size is lagging in it's true potential, Stern and the NBA are feeling the pinch'. I just don't understand why he hasn't made this move already years ago?
I'll never trust this' team again.

I didn't believe it either. I didn't believe he'd be gone. This is absolutely amazing. I think isiah would have to accidentally burn down MSG, for dolan to 'consider' firing him. Just amazing.

The ghost of Don Chaney

Perfect example of what happens when you screw everyone while going up the ladder, only to have to come back down and have to look them in the face. Priceless!
