Berman brought up an interesting point about how close Walsh and Next-town-Brown are. If Brown has informed Walsh about the inner workings of MSG, and he turns us down.....Where would Dolan turn?

Would Isiah be retained?

If he hasn't reached out to Colangelo yet, I dont see him doing so in the future.

Is Kiki still an option? Was he ever an option?

If you think "the inner workings of MSG" is only Dolan creation you are delusional.
Dolan in the owner of Rangers too, but there is nothing like crap surrounded the Knicks.
Isiahs departure will mark the end of bullsht era around NY bbal in many ways...

If dolan is the true problem, then we have a true problem that is un-curable.

Hence, this franchise will die of cancer.

Unless the cancer cuts it's own throat.

Fat chance.

And we think it's hard getting rid of isiah.

Hmmm, I wonder if dolan can sue Brown for defamation, just to keep Brown quiet?

Maybe not. Dolan would need a respectable reputation.
I'll never trust this' team again.

It sounds like you might be trying to warn us about something.

You may be right Bip, if Berman is to be believed:
March 21, 2008 --

Knicks New York Knicks owner James Dolan made a rare visit to the team's practice facility Wednesday to partake in team pictures.

In his talk with Thomas, Dolan must have said something to the lame-duck coach/president that made him feel better about life. That's because Thomas was talking about being part of next season again, testing out his young players in the final 15 games, as if he's actually going to be around.

With Easter weekend upon us, sources on both sides said any talk between the Knicks and Donnie Walsh are at a standstill until the Pacers CEO sits down next week with Indiana owner Herb Simon, as The Post reported yesterday.

The Post reported Walsh told confidants Monday at Conseco Fieldhouse during the Knicks-Pacers game that contact was made with Dolan, and he would interview with the Knicks later in the week. That has been delayed.

There's growing suspicion Walsh is using interest from the Knicks and Bucks to get what he wants in Indiana - which is Larry Bird's ouster and full control again. Walsh and Bird have disagreed on personnel this season and one friend of Walsh's called it "an awkward situation."

Walsh's wife is known to be against moving to New York and his good friend, Larry Brown, must be advising Walsh that his own distinguished career was tarnished after one season of Garden politics.

Meanwhile, Thomas appeared a bit more comfortable after yesterday's practice. One day after saying he wouldn't discuss his job status, Thomas talked more openly yesterday.

"I feel very supported and treated extremely well," Thomas said. "I think I'm well informed. Yes I do. I plan on being here. I'm here today. I'll see what tomorrow holds."

Obviously Dolan didn't give Thomas any assurances of returning next season. But Dolan may have told Thomas to just keep playing along and he would get his $20 million on April 20 after the season-finale.

The Knicks still haven't commented on weeklong and widespread reports of their flirtation with Walsh. The Knicks didn't comment for 40 days either as the media wrote Brown's axing was in the offing.

Thomas was so excited yesterday, he told the media, unsolicited, he would bench Zach Randolph Zach Randolph in their back-to-back vs. Memphis and Minnesota tonight and tomorrow so he can take a giant look at young center Randolph Morris Randolph Morris , who will be a free agent July 1.

Thomas could be playing good soldier and listening to orders from Dolan and Garden president Steve Mills to play the young guys and not worry about the record so Walsh or whoever can make a better evaluation on the young talent.

"I can tell you what my plans are," Thomas said. "I'd still like to give the young guys some minutes. Zach probably won't play (Friday) or Saturday. I want to give Randolph (Morris) extended minutes.

"This time of year, we have to take a look at young players we have. Some we have to make a decision on if we're going to keep contractually."

Like Miami, the Knicks, the past few games, seem to be in tank mode, eyeing a high lottery pick.

"We're definitely trying to win, but I understand with younger players we're going to make some mistakes," Thomas said. "They do get beat by savvy."
