found this in the NY post.. Now I know we all are in bash Isiah mode, but this is just so unprofessional, and not even funny...

On the bench during the Indiana loss Monday night, Thomas appeared life less, with a couple members of the Pacers' organization who remember him from his Indiana coaching days noticing the difference.

One source said players are starting to make fun of Thomas on the bench, even making faces behind his back.

I find the bolded part to be just disgusting... even if it is at Isiah.. It just goes to show the group of clowns we have on this team.....

The whole situation is bad. Either fire IT or make a statement that he will be back next year. I think Dolan is playing a game of dare and wants to force IT to quit rather than fire him in a hope that he can save on that money. This only shows what an idiot Dolan is b/c there is no way in hell IT quits without getting his money.

this is why I said, he should have been fired prior to the trade deadline.. what upside was there to keeping him around all season?

March 19, 2008 -- He's Teflon Thomas no more.

Isiah Thomas was fuming over reports Knicks New York Knicks owner James Dolan has flirted with Pacers CEO Donnie Walsh, Thomas' former boss in Indiana, according to a source.

If Dolan reached out to Walsh with Thomas' blessing, it was not apparent in Thomas' lousy mood in Indiana. A second source yesterday confirmed The Post's report that Walsh expected to speak with Dolan later in the week about the potential presidential vacancy, making Thomas appear as a lame duck across the final 15 games.

MORE: Knicks Blog

Whether Walsh ultimately gets the job is very up in the air, and a source said nothing would happen until after the season ends. But that Dolan already would be exploring his options is a slap in the face to Thomas, who would have been better off fired.

Walsh could be using the Knicks to get a bigger contract with the Pacers, whose owner Herb Simon loves him. But a friend insists he's looking for a new challenge. The friend said yesterday said the Pacers CEO finds himself in a "awkward situation" with Larry Bird. There is with speculation one of them will be fired by Simon, very possibly Bird, the Pacers' president. But on the awkward scale, Thomas' situation gets a higher rating as he gathers his players for today's practice.

The Knicks declined comment yesterday on firmer reports Walsh and the Knicks have made contact. More than four years ago, during Scott Layden's final months, Walsh's name came up in internal discussions at the Garden.

Walsh also did not comment again. Not that the games mean anything at 19-48, but the distractions will reach a new level of absurdity for Team Titanic II.

Thomas remaining as coach/president at this point is even worse than allowing Larry Brown to run pre-draft work outs in the weeks before his dismissal. Thomas' public-relations firm declined comment.

On the bench during the Indiana loss Monday night, Thomas appeared life less, with a couple members of the Pacers' organization who remember him from his Indiana coaching days noticing the difference.

One source said players are starting to make fun of Thomas on the bench, even making faces behind his back.

Signs the Bronx- born Walsh is looking for a big payday first came about last August when he hired a top-notch agent in Steve Kaufmann as he entered the final year of his contract. Two other teams supposedly are more serious about Walsh than the Knicks. However, two Pacers sources said Simon won't let Walsh go easily.

Thomas had become more emboldened in recent weeks in talking about next season, but that now seems an act. Yesterday the Knicks were off and Thomas did not have to face the media. When the Knicks face Memphis on Friday at the Garden, renewed "Fire Isiah" chants likely will be heard. It seems as if he already has been.

Isiah set this culture in place by the way he treated the last 3 coaches. It was bound to happen to him. It's human nature. Once the culture is set it remains in place until you actively change it.

I feel the same way really. Also to anyone that is happy the kids are playing....you have to realize that in this environment they are not gaining anything from playing. They're not learning anything because they have no leadership - nobody is teaching them anything - they're just out there going 1-1 and going through the motions just as our fat stupid lazy vets did all year.

That's not experience you can build on.

As to Isiah - well - Dolan is giving him the Larry Brown treatment. I wonder if Isiah realizes he's now being treated how HE treated those before him? Probably not he probably still has his reasoning for treating those coaches and players like **** and thinks he's being wronged for no good reason.

Well, screw you Isiah, please have lunch with a crosstown bus then meet a woodchipper for dinner.

I have zero respect for this clown.

This isn't nearly as disgusting or unprofessional as having your GM going on David Letterman and joking about how he's going to fire you soon.

It doesn't even compare to being escorted out of MSG by security, after being fired just before a game, even though it could have been done earlier at their training facility during the morning shoot around.

It's not as emasculating as having your dignity being used against you, going through a dog and pony show so that your employers can say that you resigned and weren't fired.

It's worse to have to completely ignored by your owner and GM, while they drag out your firing in an attempt to get you to do something that they can hold against you in arbitration for the money they still owe you. Being forced to meet the press on the roadside outside of the training center because they wouldn't let you talk to the press on team property is pretty disgusting as well.

What goes around, comes around.

I agree. Let's keep it real if there was any leader on this team or quote unquote true good guys they wouldn't allow this kind of environment amongst their colleagues\themselves. Remember the majority of the group that's left were the one who led a Palace Coupe march to I SAY UGH'S office to trash Larry. I'm not referencing this to stick up for LB but showing the mentality of who's on our roster. You better believe Lee, Nate, Frye, and other young players were a part of the march. Prime example of no leadership and a bunch of punk followers. If I was on the team there's no way I would have been a part of either activity..... marching against LB to I SAY UGH'S office or making silly faces at I SAY UGH on the bench. Then let's add the in game F-BOMBS they were dropping on their coach, fighting each other on the bench and in showers, the laughing, telling jokes on the bench while enjoying 20gms + of 20pt losses. I've seen every player a part of all or any combination of these wack actions.

I get a kick too when people say things like "let's draft Rose and get a leader in here." We expect some rookie who's accomplished nothing in this league to come to a team with egomaniacs, players who'll be playing for contracts next yr, are malcontents, lazy, have poor work ethics, and the worst habits in all of basketball to lead them? Well Jamal as nice as he comes across didn't lead and he had several yrs of experience in the league. Lee another supposed good guy who does work hard but he hasn't managed to lead either. What about Malik a player who has been a leader in his career, forget about it. Q used to be a leader but sold out to the masses this yr in particular. There will be no leader until we get rid of every trace of bacterial killing agent and unfortunately since everyone appears infected or is infecting well they all must go.

I want any fan right now to tell me what player on this team besides Rose has came out and publicly held himself and the team accountable, not just this yr but over the past couple seasons for their results.

TrueBlue hit the nail on the head. It's a cultural thing. One person or even two cannot turn this around. Jordan or Magic would have trouble galvanizing this bunch. Even bringing in that type of talent you would still have to rid the roster of the junk to really make it work. Our young guys are being shown on a regular basis how to be idiots and not to focus on basketball. And there is noone to stop the momentum.

There are some salvageable parts on this team but it's going to be tough to clean up.

The leaders of our team right now are Stephon Marbury, Zach Randolph, Eddie Curry, Jamal Crawford and Isiah Thomas. Is it suprising that our entire team doesn't play D, doesn't hustle regularly, doesn't know how to win and is unprofessional? Teams take the personality of their leaders.
