"Willis Reed epitomizes the heart and soul of New York basketball and we are excited to have him return to his home - Madison Square and the New York Knicks," Knicks general manager Scott Layden said. "Willis' experience will be invaluable to the organization from both the business and basketball perspective."

And away we GO Knicks GO!

GOOD POST BOBBY, He's a former knick with a ring who knows what it takes to get the job done. He knows jersey shot their load twice and are done!
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

John Starks was hoping to get that position. This position the advisor doesnt sit on the bench but that person does things for the organization.

John Starks should be on the bench like he was always under vandunce. He saw gundy couldn't motivate a so he would come down to the box and take over before he would get waved back to the bench.

Great. Now we TWO of the worst GM's ever running the organization. Oops, I'm sorry. One runs it and the other 'advises' how to run it.

It's always about JVG huh, Playa?

Get off it man! This thread is about Willis Reed.

Good to see Reed back as a figure head. Let's hope he has no input on talent! We all know what happened on his first go around with NY!

Good to have our #19 back....

I hope he brings some of that old flava to the NYK that we have seemed to completely lose over the last couple of years.

I must admit that when I first heard about this, I thought to myself that they are getting him in order to usher someone in the GM spot smoothly after they chuck Scott LayDown...
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

This has to be the right right direction for NY's rebuilding process. Willis should add a world of expertise and wisdom to the organization.

The talent pool is increasing, this is a good move for knick basketball.

Boring.

... yeah, I'd rather talk about fleecing the Utah Jazz. Now that's an exciting thread.
