Jared Dudley was a really good player and has had some amazing games in his rookie year....check his game log http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/players/4300/gamelog;_ylt=AqbCSxYL.ENOS.HCnOev0UukvLYF

Wilson Chandler is a good player too though. Very fundementally sound. Not very scary athletically. Kinda heavy footed but he is solid defensively and a decent rebounder.....his shot hasn't been falling but he takes good shots.

Again....Dudley shoulda went higher than he did. I think Me and Bitty were the only ones talking about him. He is more active. Just a more active motor. He's more of a born leader and just a nastier player.

I'm not hating on Chandler....but Dudley is probably better in year one.......going forward, Gerald Wallace looks to be their starter at the 3, but they like to play him at the 4. Could they run Dudley at the 3 with Gerald and Ok4?

Chandler to me might be a solid power fwd at times. He's strong as hell. He's kinda top heavy.

Just starting convo.....how does Chandler match up against some other rookies this year?

It's a bit tough to judge Chandler because of his limited time this year. But based on what I have seen, he has good NBA size and strength which will only help him in the future.

He seems a little confused on the defensive switch almost every time I see him play, and commits careless fouls and turnovers. But these things should only get better with time.

Well most other SF in the draft got playing time, so how do we compare? but here we go..

Corey Brewer: 5.5/3.7 season high 16 points/ season high in boards :18

Thaddeus Young 7/4 season high points:22/ boards: 9

Al thorton : 12/4 season high point:33 / Boards: 12 / he is ballin..

Jeff Green: 9/4 season high points 21/boards : 14

Wilson Chandler:4/2 Season high points 15/ boards 8

Of course I left Durant off this list and for obvious reasons..

All of these other guys have been in the rotation for most of the year. Chandler has just started getting time the past week or so. Again, what do you take from these numbers, except that other than durant, none of these guys are blowing the doors open and chandler when given time can play at their level, if not better.... But again, he needs time..

Well its not just about numbers.....I'm just talking opinion. Since we have seen the other guys more than Wilson we could compare....

Thorton is probably my favorite. He seems like he could be a 20 pt scorer one day if he could slow down a notch. He just a natural scorer.

Wilson compared to thorton, brewer, green, thaddeus, jared Dudley......wilson just seems slower then all of them. Its like wilson paces himself. A lot of times he seems to get beat off the dribble then all of a sudden he takes a step and blocks a layup. As far as pure fundementals, Chandler is probably as no-frills as you can get.

As far as veterans, wilsons body type reminds me of Rashard Lewis. Rashard is a clean player as well, but is probably a step or so more explosive.

So how high is Wilson Chandlers ceiling? Isiah hasn't played him until now.....but if the Knicks are really going to have this great off-season like David Stern keeps saying....Knicks may have to decide if Wilson is even worth the trouble.....

Right now Chandler doesn't look completely relaxed out there to me. He looks like he is rushing his shot at times and when he does shoot he appears stiff. Since we aren't going anywhere the cure for this is more playing time.

exactly which knick players actually aren't confused on the defensive end and don't commit careless fouls and turnovers?

From what we've read, it doesn't look like all the assistant coaches do anything in terms of 'coaching'.

I like Chandler. I think he has some skills and the ability to produce for us one day. He hits the boards and blocks some shots which is really beneficial at the SF spot whether he earns a starting spot or not. From the little I've seen he is going to be a rotation player without a doubt. His defense at this point is pretty pathetic. I don't think he's confused I just don't think he's very good at this point. His footwork is horrendous. He's always off balance defensively. Offensively I think not having a PG affects him. If you notice 90% of his shots come in the 1 on 1 game or with a hand in his face. A PG can help this.

We'll have to see. It's still a mystery as to how good he will be. I like what I've seen so far but he really hasn't had a chance to show us anything substantial. But the man does have potential
I just hope that people will like me

I felt that some of the guys from that Boston College team were underrated. Craig Smith, Sean Williams, and Dudley all seem to turning out to be decent pros. In Dudley's case he doesn't get much room to display his full talents because playing behind Gerald Wallace and at times Jason Richardson limits his minutes and touches.

Its funny that when I mentioned Dudley people shouted back to me that we didn't need another small forward LOL.

Wilson Chandler like the rest of the Knicks leaves me cold. Maybe in time if things go through a major haul I'll feel differently but in terms of our young guys outside of Lee the rest of them I could care less if there with the team next season or with another team or out of the NBA entirely.
