"Then there's 6-foot-11 Randolph Morris, touted as a stolen No. 1 pick after he slipped through a draft loophole last March. Morris becomes a free agent this summer, and Thomas appears determined to not showcase him for potential bidders."

No, Larry Brown convinced his great friend Pop to "steal" Butler from the Knicks. Didn't work.

As to this fictitious article of speculation about Morris.

I have _NEVER_ seen a case of where a team thought it had some sort of star powered gem of a player, didn't play him, so other teams couldn't "steal" him of which they couldn't do anyway.

Either Isiah is a jackass (which he is, but maybe it does or does not apply in the Morris case) or - Morris simply isn't that good or doesn't play hard enough in practice to get a shot.

Hey, he sure seems like a slow lazy eyed hack to me so far. Yet, what do I know....

Oh and to add about Morris ---- where that said player was then locked up by the team that "hid him on the bench" and suddenly that locked up player turned into a star......

THAT HAS NEVER HAPPENED.

Conspiracy theories abound. Such as people who think Isiah is a genius who is tanking to add a lotto pick franchise player - to his deviously stolen starting five of franchise players - and next year we'll win 55 and run the table to the finals.

Isiah's just strategizing. He's smarter than anyone. He was last seen reading a well known piece of strategical mastery:

Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

There isn't a Knick fan alive that has any faith in this organization.

I'd be suprised to see Morris in Knick uni next year.

Isiah is a genius. He yanked Curry - there is no injury - it's a ploy to get the refs to forget that he's just a big dummy.

Then, next year, the refs will think he's Shaq and let him bowl everyone over all game long and call the defender for the foul every time.

Sheer brilliance in action. Then we'll tank next year as well so we can add yet another lotto pick and prevent teams from "stealing" Lee, Balkman, Nate, and Morris from us. Then in 2009-2010 we'll have 5 franchise cornerstones, 2 allstar lotto pick future HOF'ers, and all our kids resigned for the minimum. 60 wins, NBA Finals.

GO KNICKS!!!!

thhhhhhhbtttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt

(sadly, go poll RealGM, you'd probably find half a dozen people there that would believe this, and another dozen who refuse to admit they do.)

It's ironic that even though no team has ever done this (hide a player to save money re-signing him), people think the team that's the most free-spending, most willing to throw money at anything would actually be the one team trying to save money by hiding a young player.

Nothing makes sense. I find it comical he gave away all those picks for Curry and now he's treating Morris' situation with Kid Gloves. Dude Morris is a dime a Dozen big man scrub who may have potential, that's it. The draft has potential to be disastrous because of I SAY UGH always trying to justify his mistakes and make them stick. He has Curry.... former never was a cornerstone center, who he should have played until he ran him into the ground, possibly getting him into better shape and increase his trade value this off-season but instead shut him down due to exploratory knee surgery and refuses to play his back-up so he won't be further exposed how bad the Curry acquisition was and doesn't want to be Jackie Butlered again.

Everything I SAY UGH does furthers backs Sterns statement that "WE ARE NOT A MODEL OF INTELLIGENT MANAGEMENT!"
