Those who feel he doesn't my next question is.... Will he be in the proper playing condition?


If he does lose weight what weight should Curry be playing at?

i'm actually worried. he's going in for surgery, maybe won't be running for over a month. will he have the dedication to keep/get in shape during/after that time? come on eddy, step up.

It's not good news to hear Eddy Curry is having offseason knee surgery. It almost always takes longer to heal and he could potentially balloon up to well over 300 lbs.

Hate to break it to you draft expert but he's more than likely over that right now. Clyde has even made mention on air he thinks Curry is 300lbs at least and so have many others. And let's be generous here... if he's under, it's by the slimmest of margins. The surgery wouldn't be what puts him over but just walking past the old ladies who pass out food samples in the grocery store would.

I was joking about his shot blocking. I used to post the Eddy Curry line last year. If you have not seen it the line shows the players who rank the lowest in effort categories (Eddy) and the players who rank the highest.

If Curry was 255 instead of the 295 that he plays at, he would probably be a decent player. He is usually a half a step slow in his defensive rotations. Losing 40 pounds will probably give him that half step back and he might not look as bad as a defender. He would also be able to get up and down the court more easily. This guy is this generation's Oliver Miller. A big man with a ton of talent but who cannot control his weight.
