I went back and counted the threads created since the start of this month related to the draft and came to approximately 20. Which is roughly a new thread created each day about the draft. As our season comes to a close discussions/threads are only going to multiply considerably, especially with the NCAA tourney just around the corner. Someone has already made a slight recommendation concerning this issue. I would really prefer if we could come up with a more effective way of keeping topics discussions more closely related to each other. It would really benefit the experience on the board plus give us a chance to keep a better track of conversations. The draft is still 3mos away and we're having discussions as if it's going to take place this weekend.

At this point I think we should come up with no More than 5(a preliminary figure, not concrete, it can be more or less if sufficient) Categories For Draft related threads and have them stickied.

Anyone is welcome to nominate what these threads should be entitled. We should settle on these within a reasonable time Frame(the sooner the better).

I don't feel we should have just one thread and call it "Everything Draft Related" because it's too vague and discussions can be lost in such a thread.

For example I'll nominate "NCAA Tourney Top Prospect Watch", and "UK Mock Draft"(may have already been created)

We usually have a NCAA tourney thread...

There should probably be a thread for each of the draft camps once we get to that point.

The NCAA tourney thread in general should be separate from NCAA Tourney Prospect Watch. The reason I say this because we may have discussions about a certain game(s) being played which won't include any player projected to be a first round draft pick(all the way exclusively to a Top 10 pick). Matter of fact we often times create single game threads from the tourney. My suggestion was to keep track of statistical performances of say players projected to be picked in the Top 30, 25, 20 etc etc.

What I don't want to see is another 10 or so threads of Derick Rose vs Mayo or Bayless vs Rose or Collinson vs Augustine or Jordan vs Thabeet or Kevin Love vs Hibbert or Batum vs Gordon or... you get the point. We need some organization when it comes to draft discussion.

personally, i like the draft threads. briggs' posts are always insightful and they've been one of the main reasons i've been coming to the board every day.

i think it's a little silly for a guy who makes a new thread every time Camby grabs 12 rebounds to talk about too many draft threads.

why limit the conversation?

bottom line: the draft threads are the only glimmer of hope a knicks fan can have at this time and i'd rather see two new draft threads a day than the usual horrible "when will it end? why isn't isiah fired yet" fare - which i absolutely agree with, but how much more can you say about it? he sucks, he needs to go. the draft is one of our only hopes for new blood. don't take that from us, trueblue.

I might make a Camby thread once a month since the season started. Go count them up and I bet you won't get past 4. Because he actually does create a ridiculous stat line about once a month, which makes you say WOW! I'm not the only person who has created a Camby thread acknowledging his efforts. I never said Briggs posts weren't exciting, Briggs isn't the only one creating threads related to the draft. I'm making a very reasonable request in that the purpose is to encourage discussions but keep them more uniformed.

I think one new thread should be made each week. That way the thread doesn't become so huge, before June comes and it should be stickied to the top.
I'll never trust this' team again.

let's reduce the clutter about Draft threads by posting a new one... brilliant idea.

y didn't u just chime in with this thought on the thread where i made the point about consolidating draft threads to begin with?
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

I meant to chime in but when you're having discussions in various threads from multiple message boards, you get distracted.

I couldn't F'ing find the post amongst the myriads of draft threads here Smarty McFarty! I made note someone already brought the idea up. You think more people saw your post or this thread?

4949 gave a reply he missed your post.

Maybe you should have created a thread on it so everyone gives their ideas in a thread dedicated to giving ideas, instead of discussing them a in thread not intended for it for some Smarty McFarty to only accuse you of Hijacking.

Not to mention Briggs created yet another thread.

The point of the thread was to get input.

& i just gave u my input... creating a thread to reduce clutter about draft threads is counterproductive IMO... stop being so defensive.

Stop posting in this thread you're contributing to the clutter.

I actually like the idea you came up with if I understood it correctly.

9 draft related threads on the first page and to take TMS's opinion into consideration if you count this one , it's 10.
