Houston is worth every penny of his contract. People like Spree more its becuase he is a thug. Houston will still avg his 20pts for 2 more years then it will go down to 18. Spree will avg 10 next year jsut watch!

Tell you what, ask Houston to play the 3 and let Spree play the 2, then let's see how the players do.

I would trade Houston waaaay before I trade Spree. The problem is that most teams aren't dumb enough to take on his ridiculous contract. But putting contract issues aside, Houston is a jump shooter with no D. Spree is a good all around player that can play three positions in a pinch, and the best player on the Knicks roster, IMHO.

MOST teams... how about ALL teams.

I think the Blazers, Mavs & maybe even Houston would take on the contract. The problem is the garbage that they would send back. Spree has more trade value because of the shorter contract & better all-around game.

When you refuse to rebuild and instead chose to constantly "retool" just enough to make the play-offs every year you tend to acculate a lot of garbage.

I like Spree and all, but...exactly what is the 3rd position you are talking about? Center or Power Forward?

If Spree can play point then all our problems will be solved. He has no handle due to his mistrust of his left hand. He never protects the ball and that is why he is getting stripped by smaller and quicker guards.

Spree is a classic 2 that is tough enough to play 3.

It's hard to believe that there are people who SERIOUSLY believe that! The guy is, at best, an average Shooting Guard and yet somehow is supposed to be worth a contract that pays him more than a Kobe Bryant or Allen Iverson, who are TRUE game changers.

And that's just Shooting Guards. If you name every player in the NBA who is better than Housless, yet earns less, it would be a very long list indeed. The best bball-related move Housless ever did was when he walked into his agent's office and hired him.

NEC, PIKE, TKF i understand your position lol.... but HOUSTON is much better than SPREE, we all know that. If you remove the contract & let teams pick between the two, HOUSTON would be in L.A. with the LAKERS or HOUSTON, even DALLAS & SAN ANTONIO. SPREWELL would be in CLEVELAND, MILWAUKEE, CHICAGO...ETC...
