the past 7 years have been grim for knicks fan. we have been subject to the worst basketball in sports and it seems very dire. however, there is are slivers of hope that i am looking forward too. first, we will get a decent pick in a draft where it is deep and we can get someone who will make an immediate impact. maybe a decent pick next year too. second, since this season is done, we can start evaluating the young guns like chandler and morris who have impressed me during the summer league last year and their limited play this year. third, marbury's contract will come off the books in a year. that would bring our cap room down significantly so we need to make one trade for cap room like curry or z bo and we are players in 2010, the big year. if we plan it right, we could possibly get two big free agents ( bosh and wade?). fourth and finally, thomas imminent firing. then we will have a gm who is capable of turning it around. this is of course if everything follows through. it seems like our franchise has been snakebitten but something good has to happen sooner or later.

We are the worst franchise in professional sports.

We can only hope.
