did anyone watch the wire season finale? it was a little more satisfying than the sopranos season finale where certain storylines were definately concluded. however i was still a little disappointed. i thought they would take a little more risks with their finale. but that is a typical hbo finale except six feet under. i did like what happened to micheal as he became the new "omar". they should make a spinoff with just him. well, officially i just watch hbo for the movies now since there are NO shows that i watch on hbo. i used to wathc oz, sopranos, spawn, tales from the crypt, sex and the city ( guilty pleasure) and the wire. now none of them are on. oh well.

I liked it. I definitely agree it was better than the Soprano finale. The show itself wasn't as good as the Soprano's. You ever watch Deadwood? They stopped that show after the 3rd season and I am really hoping they find a good conclusion for it. Its about time.

Did they show McNulty getting back with that blonde Baltimore port cop? I dont remember how it went down. I watched it a week ago after it leaked.

Who are you talking about here? What is the characters or the actors full name?

yeah, mcnulty went back with the dock cop. he seemed to have calmed down also. micheal was the former muscle in training for marlo who killed snoop. well, in the finale he was weilding a shotgun and robbed one of the drug dealers just like omar.

I think its utterly ridiculous that this show hasn't won an Emmy for Best Drama or a Golden Globe.

Silverfuel I have to strongly disagree with you about the Sopranos. That show had two really good seasons all the rest where just meandering with the occassional suspensful episode. Whereas the Wire has been great writing, acting, storytelling from the beginning to the end.

The ending of the show was perfect it was like everything came full circle. There was no sugar coating or unrealistic happy endings but it wasn't completely bleak. One thing I was hoping for was that Marlo was going to get his just desserts but oh well almost everyone else's ending I was happy with.

God I hate HBO every good show they had is now gone. Sex and the City, OZ, Rome, and now the Wire.

Oh yea, the kid! Good job jazz, I didn't even pick up on that but it made the show that much better. I loved the way I got snoop. His character is one of my favorites. It sucks that Marlo gets away with everything. I was hoping he would do time somehow. I started to miss Avon Barksdale towards the begining of the 4th season. Stringer Bell had to go and ruin everything by putting a hit out on his newphew.

I agree about the first two seasons of the Sopranos being great, bitty. The rest weren't bad at all either though. The wire had a few boring seasons in between. To each his own I guess. I'm more into the mob stuff so I'm probably being partial. Can't take anything away from either show though. The wire and Sopranos were both amazing.

You guys watch Entourage? Thats the last good remaining HBO show.
