seems to me that Nate is a very rare dynamic offensive player that can help teams in need of a scorer... what we need right now is a franchise guy at the PG position to lead this team & play some defense on the perimeter... i personally don't see Nate ever becoming a true PG in the way we need him to be, he's a SG in a PG's body... unless we're getting a very big PG that can run the show & trade Jamal for a defensive bigman, i might consider trading Nate to acquire a 2nd pick in order to be able to draft us a defensive bigman for our frontcourt that we desperately need.

what are your thoughts? do u think Nate can realistically be traded for a mid 1st round pick, & do you think that's a wise move to make at this point.

What we will watch then?
Nate is the MSG sell-off commodity.
He is lock here in NY untill Dolan will sell the Knicks...

Nate can definately get the Knicks a second draft pick, but unless the Knicks are gonna draft Derrick Rose....I say we keep him. There's nobody available thats flat out better. Nate does it under scrutiny and shame. He's a rare talent and the dude is just not afraid of anything on the bball court.

Dare I say the Knicks should build around him? Again.....if its not Derrick Rose....then Nate should be the starting point guard for our New York Knicks! Its not broke so don't fix it!

Possibly anywhere from picks 17-22 is what we could get for him.

but that's the thing, it IS broke right now... i agree w/u that Nate is a special scoring G but if we're gonna have Jamal on this team i think i might rather trade him for a 2nd 1st rounder & fill another need (assuming we get to draft a Rose, Gordon or Mayo w/the lottery pick)... of course i wouldn't mind holding onto Nate if we could trade Jamal for another 1st rounder or a veteran defensive C who can block some shots either for that matter... i'm just trying to gauge Nate's value right now... seems to me a lot of teams could use an energizer like Nate who's shown vast improvement this year in his game as opposed to a raw G who they might have to wait & see on... ideally we could unload Jamal's contract for a shorter term contract & a pick, draft Rose to play alongside Nate in the backcourt, & use that second pick to draft the best shotblocker available.

Dude, with the 45 game and his little athletic ability, I'd trade the guy in a heart beat for a top quality defender or two draft picks and cash.
I'll never trust this' team again.

It just occured to me.

We cannot afford to have isiah stick around to make any' draft picks for us! We need a new GM before that happens.
I'll never trust this' team again.

His "little" athletic ability. Are you retarded or just totally drunk. The guy is an amazing athlete, he just happens to be small. Isiah wasn't bull****ting when he said that nate would have been the 1 or 2 pick in the draft if he was taller.

That being said, I think it depends on who is available around pick 15 or so. I think Collinson is being projected there, but I tend to think his value will go up with his upcoming third final four appearance.

Maybe if Frye was the 30th pick I'd agree with that but you better get something far better than Frye with a mid lottery pick.

Augustine is the guy I would target if I'm moving Nate. Augustine is the purest pg in this draft and can turn into a steal. He has breat pg instincts and has 3pt range on his jay. The only reason he isn't projected to be picked top 7 is because of his size (5'11).
