Everybody knows the Knicks aren't going to make the playoffs. That's a problem.

Even the most optimistic Knick player has come to grips with reality.

"Right now, you have to finish the season, but it's been tough on me," said Jamal Crawford, who's never enjoyed a winning season. "I think maybe I was hardheaded in believing we could still make the playoffs up until a few games ago. I guess the reality is setting in."

There's a quarter of the season left to play and the Eastern Conference is a complete joke. But even the players know they're out of it already.

That's how far this team is from being relevant.

But how close this team is to TV Reality show.

And soon Jamal will be in shutdown mode. Funny thing is Jamal all but guaranteed before the season started this team would make the playoffs along with David Lee and EY Curry.

I remember Jamal saying "The fans of New York have been pretty patient for the past few years", and that changes should be made if they fail to make the playoffs.

Well, no one has been patient. Everyone has just been pushing for a roster revamp and Isiah's dismissal.

I think that's BS about Jamal in shutdown mode. Dude hurt his hand in the game last night at the start of the 3rd Q...left game with 3 mins left in the 3rd to get X-rays...came back to play the entire 4th IN A MEANINGLESS GAME.

I also don't think the players anticipated the Isiah-Marbury nightmare, Isiah going against the team after 5 games (the vote in Phx) and Isiah's truly dreadful approach to coaching these games.

Hmmmmmm Jamal's in street close tonight. If this game was meaningful what are your odds Jamal would be playing? Just like I said any excuse our players will be in shutdown mode. Jamal's injury was diagnosed as a mild sprain with slight swelling. Meanwhile Kobe is playing with torn ligaments in his hands.

Your post isn't surprising since Jamal is a fav of yours.

I don't think this is what anyone was insinuating of Jamal. As to say he's a quitter. It's been the nature/culture of the the TEAM to shut things down the past 3 yrs because our seasons are officially done with 20-30gms left to play. I could tell by his tone he was sitting this one out before it was official.
