With starbury and Rose in their last years, we have a better option of trading them, or even buying out the rest of their contracts. That's already over 29 million right there. Save the money!!!

NOW!

isiah gets fired at least by the end of next season, then things really kick in.

Now we can hire a normal pres/GM and coach (seperately)

With the upcoming draft, we draft the biggest center we can find (Bynum was a disasterous miss).

And if the media and the fans can make Curry, Q & Jeromes lives a living hell, then by the time 2008-09 ends, they'll wan't to go with their player options, set for 2009-10 and bow out.

Jared Jeffries will be the only pain in the ass left over. And we will basically be stuck with Zach until 2010-11, unless we buy out a part of his contract and trade him a year early. But then again, maybe Zack will be much more affective, if Curry is finally gone.

So overall:
We get rid of the biggest problems on this team, by the end of next year.
We start our youngens more often, as they develop and prove, or disprove themselves (easier to get rid of at that stage)
We keep the money low, with low contracts, unless it's someone who can help this team immediately (but still, don't go crazy with $)
We build up as much cap as possible and go for the gold in Lebron and another superstar defender or center, making us instant contenders.

But the key is, we got to get rid of isiah! No plan will work, as long as he's around.

I'll never trust this' team again.

Best way to get rid of Curry and Q? Don't play em. Start all the other young guys aheaf of them and they'll get tired of it.
I'll never trust this' team again.

If isiah makes one more big move, then we can forget about any future with Lebron or anyone of that calibre. It's that simple.
I'll never trust this' team again.

There is absolutly no chance those players ask out of their player options. You can book that now so your play is done.
I want to leave something that's going to stand for a long timeI want to leave a legacy,I want to leave tradition.I want to leave an imprint,a blueprint in terms of how people play, and how they coach and how they respond when they put on the Knick uni.

Some people like clowns and some acrobats...
So which way we should go?

Where did he say that? Where did "FireIsiah" say he did not want them to opt out?
Nor do I think "FireIsiah" is "so happy with these clowns" that it should boggle your mind.
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

Guys like you with that 'nice try' comment. Obviously I came up with a good idea that you can't handle. You's are conditioned to the isiah way. I think we need to fire some fans first, before we fire dolan and then isiah.
I'll never trust this' team again.

You came up with great ideas.
But one of your ideas was not so great.
Specifically the one where you claimed our baddies would opt-out.
Next time, don't take contructive criticism so personally.

I would like them gone, yes. I don't see them opting out through pressure from fans though. If anything, we should play them every single second of every game so they get their stats up and opt-out for more money. BUT neither idea is gonna work.

By the way, Jerome James deal doesn't hurt us (longterm) because he will be off the books a year after Malik and Marbs and at least a year before any of the big name FA's become available.

We must get rid of one or more of Zach/Curry/Jeffries/Crawford for shorter deals if we want to have capspace for the mega free agents class of Bosh et al.

we're gonna be stuck w/Zach, Jefferies & Curry's contracts which all 3 combined pretty much ensures we have no shot at signing any top name FA's when the big shopping spree ensues in a couple years... i love Isiah's forward thinking when he decided to take on those contracts.

if there's any way shape or form to unload those guys for shorter term deals, we gotta do it even if we have to take back even worse players (though in Jefferies' case that's hard to fathom)

After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

I think Curry and even Jeffries will be easier to move than Zach (for shorter deals).
