From PDX RealGM board

Jason Quick teased some very interesting bit of news. He wasn't willing to say exactly what it was just yet, but he did say this...

"The Blazers may have a resolution soon... As regards to their roster."

Sounds like a buyout or waiving is coming

From the Oregonian
• Latest from Darius Miles, this from a short conversation before Friday’s Trail Blazers-Lakers game:

How is your (surgically repaired) knee coming along? “I’m fine.”

How much running and basketball work are you able to put in? “I’m just doing a little bit of stuff.”

When will you be ready to return to action? “Once they give me the green light, I’ll be ready.”

When might that be? “You’d have to ask Nate (McMillan, the coach).”

When asked, McMillan responds with “he still has some work to do.”

It would appear the enigmatic forward has played his last game as a Blazer.

Perhaps a decision on his status will be reached even before season’s end.

Yeah, just what we need, a fat stupid stoned Darius Miles.

That's not the Isiah way though, no way, not signing a guy fresh off a buyout. Isiah will tell Portland that it must be a draft day deal.

Marburys' 09 expiring, David Lee, our 08 draft selection --FOR-- Darius Miles, Raef LaFrentz, and their 08 draft selection.

Isiah will tells us that Miles is better than anyone in the 08 draft. He will then bench that selection we make. We'll win 33 games and he will tell us it's because you can't expect a team that just made a trade to actually mesh together and play well!

I used to be a fan of miles when he was with the clippers, I thought he had the potential to be a great player, and he did, I guess sometimes basketball is just interesting enough for some players.. they love the checks tho.....

Actually I chose the worst picture to show how far the dude had fallen, it's been posted here before. There are more recent pics of him, some with Oden and the guy looks great actually.

Was Miles ever any good? Or was it just the excitement of his potential?

And don't forget (according to Curry) the media picking on them.
I'll never trust this' team again.

He looks kind of like a clone of Curry. Big, slow, fat and useless.
I'll never trust this' team again.

I saw him on TV last night, he was sitting down tho, and it was a quick glance, so I could not tell how good or bad he looked..

The last thing I want is his ass in NY...

Miles is of that time frame where every player that was athletic and had ball handling skills was considered to be the "next Michael Jordan". It didn't matter if the guy couldn't shoot, move the ball, understand the team game etc.

All you got to do is dunk.
