does anybody know when they are releasing the palyers name for the knicks summer team or have they already...........

the roster will supposedly be released today... but I would think that it'd be done by wednesday, since that's the deadline for summer league roster entries.

no lampe, no vranes... summer league is not going to be what we wanted to see. on the good side, there are a few tall PF/C's who will be there. let's see if they have game.

Shabbazz, Lonnie Jones, and Onyekwe are very good tall prospects. Onyekwe is a superior athlete and very good shooter and shot blocker.

Here are the players im goin to be looking at.

Tyronne Nesby -- small forward off the bench? Postell Replacement?
Frank Williams -- This is his chance
Mamadou N'Diaye -- Projected as a second rounder?
Karim Shabazz -- 7-2 insurance incase no Vranes
Micheal Sweetney -- Lets see that low post game people r talkin about

Man I wish Lampe were playing.

Nesby should make the team and would be a great replacement for Postell and a solid 10th or 11th man if one of our sg/sf's were to go down with injury.

N'diaye should make the team and could really see some minutes off the bench because he had a decent year with toronto. I'm surprised he's even participating in summerleague ball.

Hopefully Sweetney establishes himself as our starting pf and Williams has a good showing as well. I still see a lot of potential in him and he could be a good guard in new york with his ability to defend and see the floor, and the flavor he adds to his game.

Hopefully Lampe has a good showing and will be ready to see some minutes next year, no matter what the position. Vranes we will have to wait on, especially because i think N'diaye will help more next year, but Vranes is definitely a player to develop for the future.

As of right now, our team could look like this...

C Thomas, Doleac, N'diaye, Vranes, Knight
PF McDyess? or Sweetney, Harrington, Weatherspoon, Lampe
SF Sprewell, Nesby
SG Houston, Anderson
PG Eisley, Ward, Williams

We will definitely have to make some moves and cut down. As of the start of the season this is how our 12-man roster, plus IR will look like...

C Thomas
PF Sweetney (Dyess doubtful)
SF Sprewell
SG Houston
PG Eisley
6th Lampe
7th Harrington
8th Anderson
9th Ward/Williams
10th Ward/Williams
11th N'diaye
12th Weatherspoon
IR Doleac
IR Nesby
IR Knight

It's obvious there are things that will need to be made.

I was there last year, don't be afraid to get right up close to the bench to take pics. Herb was a cool guy, very approachable. He likes to hang outside the gym - or at least he did - near the front entrance, off to the side.
