If I am the GM, I would bring back Dick Harter and build the character of the team on gritty and rugged play of Balkman and Lee.
I would only bring in players that will out-muscle and out-hustle...

The Knicks of today have no identity and that a major reason for why they underachieve each year.

Is Dick Harter still alive?

I would do whatever I had to do to bring back Steve Francis, so that I could pair him up with Marbury in the backcourt. I really don't think we gave that enough time to work, and I feel it could really be the secret ingredient, along with the Curry & Zach combo, to spice up the Knicks' Stew.

Don't forget Jalen Rose -"He's exactly what we need," Brown said before the game. "I think it's a no-brainer. I haven't seen a drop-off in his game. We don't have enough ball-handlers, guys that have experience back there."

If we only had kept LB - man I can imagine the turn around:
Francis/Marbury in the backcourt
Jalen Rose as SF
Dale Davis/Antonio Davis as PF
Ben Wallace as the center

We would resign Theo Ratliffe- or traded Curry + Lee for Ratliffe and signed him to an extension
Probably get a savy veteran who has won a championship like Antoine Walker fro depth.

I mean - this team is defintely - makes the playoffs -almost every year - and the upside is tremendous. Man - we should have never fired LB. I mean look at the Sixers - he left that team more stocked than the cowboys were when Jimy Johnson left it to Barry Switzer.

I can't belief Seattle, Memphis,Charloote, Miami - haven't rushed to offer him a position so he can bring that tradition of leaving behind dynasties to their organization. This guy just gets no credit.

I would tank.

I would play all the young players, and I would trade everyone I could to get back picks.

I would look to move Crawford- not because he's bad or inconsistent, which he is, but because I would be looking to build long term.

Zach & Eddy- if I can't move one, I would look to use them in the offense better- use them to set screens for wing shooters- and alternate their playing time so both are seldom in the game together.

That, and I'd sabotage the team charter so the whole thing would go down in flames. Some players, inexplicably, would have missed the flight and flown commercial instead.

Tried both links - one is dead, the other has no quote fro Isiah at all - and mentions j.Rose's deal in terms of Toronto wondering who would take on the 30M salary-sowwy. Must be "Post"-Traumatic Syndrome- but if you find the links - it would be nice.

If I will be a GM I will drink vodka with the players to build great comradory and remove stress.
No performance enchantment drugs and no Gatorade.
Only Kettle One and Stoly.
And then who the hell cares which players we have - they will perform well regardless.

Kids, never imitate corporate knuckleheads.
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

Isiah wanted Rose with the Pacers. He pursued him and eventually landed him from the Bulls with other players for Ron Artest.

But of course, it was all Larry Brown's fault. Isiah is just a martyr.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

I think LB was being sarcastic by his comments with the move while at the same time exposing the roster I SAY UGH put together. We provide you with proof of how off base you are and you refuse to allow yourself to be educated.

That's our GM's job duties. But most GM's are responsible for making trades

One of my sales people tells me we would do well if we started packaging hula hoops with our software. I don't listen to him because that would be stupid. And if I did, I would take responsibility for it.

IT only applies to the real world. Not the Knicks. We don't speak of it here. That was a slip up on my part.
