I love listening to Ian Eagle and Mack Jackson on the Yes Network. Those guys are having a blast watching the game. Its clear these guys are friends and its beautiful to listen to. They sound like two buds getting together to watch the game.

Does Marv still announce games for Yes? I always seem to only catch games that Ian and Mark are calling.

Anyway, the age old debate on Breen and Clyde......they don't have any chemistry. They are just as bad together as the Knicks. They are both awesome at what they do, but are terrible together.

Breen and Johnny Hoops? Golden! They seem to really like each other. They engage in personal jokes and just think alike and flow well together.

Breen and Kenny? They butt heads and its hilarious to me. Breen is a know it all and Kenny is incredibly quick witted and has a nack for shutting Breen down, but Breen is such a prick that he doesn't back down either. Its great to listen to.

Gus and Clyde to me sound exactly like Ian and Mark. They sound like they hit the clubs together after the game! I wish we could hear them together more often.

Al trauwig and Clyde works aside from Al's usual nob slobbin.

That other Italian dude(sorry I can't remember his name) and Clyde sound great together as well. They sound like they hang out also.

Missing the boat? Yeah man MSG miss the boat in broadcasting.......reciently the cast of MSG NY have really been upgraded big time with the young kid they have and "the coach". Their whole new cast is awesome.

The Ranger games are always awesome. Whoever calls the games do a great job. Its all about fun. Those guys sound like they want to be their with the fans and chill win or lose.

Knicks have to find a better mix. Is Breen under a massive contract? He's a fine broadcaster don't get me wrong. He's good, but he doesn't mesh well and he is a prick. He's way better calling NBA games for winning teams. He tends to enjoy himself more and focus less on being a know it all.

Anyway, with that said I think we're just stuck with Breen and Clyde cuz Clyde must be on a crazy contract also.

Rant over, lol.

Yes Marv announces games for YES network. He and Jackson have the same chemistry.

You bring up a good point about those two yesterday. Did you catch the segment when they were eating Juicy Fruit gum? Pure classic stuff. Mark opens his pack and stuffs it all into his mouth at once. Eagle notices what he did and decides to do the same after initially looking as if he was only going to eat maybe 2 pieces at most, except he stuffs them in his mouth one-by-one. Mark Jackson's "You're Better Than That" segments are hilarious and they constantly take digs at each other most of the time Jackson taking the brunt from both Eagle and Marv. They also will call out their players on the court, in particular Jackson. They know the game and point out things the regular viewer may not catch in real time. They probably have the best group calling games.

Gus(he's trash for Knick games) and Clyde aren't that good. Kenny, Breen, and Clyde are a good mix and Breen and Kenny can be good at times. Breen and Clyde aren't bad more so par for the course.

ian eagle does a real good job.
marv is great.
mark jackson is awesome.

clyde, for all his sayings and charm, brings nothing to the table in terms of actually analyzing the game.

hubie brown and the czar set the standard. they do some real analyzing.

Winning cures everything

In all fairness, our announcers don't really have anything decent to announce about.

But I do agree that Clyde and Breen don't seem to be that good of a match together.

Watching the nets????

If things don't change soon, I predict this place becomes ultimatebrooklynnets.com. How can anyone continue supporting this garbage Knicks team?

Yeah man Van Gundy is a sick dude. He's hilarious and give great insight.

Anyway, the Knicks are unwatchable......I still watch with the hopes of seeing a good game untill the the Knicks start doggin it and I turn the channel.

The terrible announcing just proves how bad the Knicks need to be cleansed from top to bottom.....even the security up front needs a change. I been to a few games looking like a terrorist and I never get searched. My sis has gotten searched, my dad got sac tapped, DJ got searched and stopped for a sandwich while I had a bag full of dirty clothes and another time I had a bunch of **** strapped into the pouch in my jacket........not to mention I stay scruffy and keep my dreads in a stocking cap.......never get searched. Look like bin ladens cousin and I just get waived through, lol.

Gus is OK until he goes into company man / cheerleader mode. then he comes unbearable to listen to. I'm talking to near Tommy Heinsohn levels of unbearable.

His Pom-Pom commentating gives Heinsohn a serious run for his money

Which is about 60-75% of the time which makes him trash. Fans allow his NCAA clout to transcend over to Knick commentary, it doesn't apply. Even during the Tourney Gus is way over top but NCAA Gus and Knick Gus aren't the same. He's easily replaceable if there was someone available.

I don't get Gus "company man" comments. The guy get hyped up no matter who is playing. He does the same in college basketball....maybe worse. He's one of the main reasons March Madness is so much fun to watch.

Gus does boxing too and he get just as excited about a left hook than he did when he said "jamal crawford for thrrrreeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaagrrrggaaaahhahhaahahahaah!"

Hattin' on the announcers now? How low will you bloggers go? Sorry to disappoint you, but Clyde & Breen are here to stay. If you don't like it, go become Celtics fans.

I love listening to Ian Eagle and Mack Jackson on the Yes Network.

I watched the 1st quarter of the NETS game and paid close attention to these two.

Ian Eagle sucks. He doesn't know how to call the action. He interrupts himself. He'll call the action... then make a dumb comment... then five seconds later will say "Three-second violation on Boone" DUH.. I knew that five seconds ago dumas.

And then he tells stupid little factoids like Nenad Krstic is the 3rd most eleigible bachelor in Serbia. Mark Jackson asks him for 1 and 2 and Ian Eagle stumbles all over himself.

Mark is good. He came up with Goran Ivanisovic. He's funny. Does his homework. Eagle sounds awful.
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.
