I like avery, but down 2 with .34 seconds left, you can't have jason kid on the bench. The mavs had about 4 tries to go ahead or tie this game and they looked disorganized and they got some bad looks, with the exception of dirk taking his usual fadeaway jumper. nice going dirk... SMH

My question is how can you have a playmaker like kid on the bench? you could have ran pick and roll with he and dirk, have kid post or drive and dish, I mean the options with kid are endless. instead in the end, you have terry forcing a drive and getting his shot blocked by wild man bruce bowen.... WOW!!!!!!!!!!

I'd agree there- Kidd is a terrible shooter- except in the clutch- whether or not kidd is familiar with all the plays- I would think you draw up a very simple play, and execute.

That one decision might be disastrous. You got KIDD to be the guy who gives your team mega-confidence. Now you, his coach, just basically called this guy "Ason Kidd" and probably ruined Kidd's confidence/trust/faith whatever. HUGE DISASTROUS MOVE.

Avery needs to say he made a mistake. You don't build confidence putting Jason Kidd on the bench in crunch time. This is going to lead to another first round exit.

With Kidd now here.......the team now has to go from a team that didn't need a point guard to distribute to a team that now needs to run everything through Kidd.
