Scott Skiles.

Worked under Jerry Colangelo in Phoenix. Has coached Stephon Marbury, Eddy Curry and Jamal Crawford. Perfect strict, defensive minded, tough sob disiciplinarian to set the tone for this franchise and bring back pride and respect. The basketball version of Tom Coughlin.

Skiles is a nice option. He won't get you a CHIP, but he can be the coach before the coach that gets the CHIP. I also think Rick Carlisle is a nice choice. And i've always liked Paul Silas.

From the Assistant ranks, Tom Thibodeaux would be a good choice.
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

Why do you assume that? Because we love Isiah so?

Yeah - I mean I think its really great to get coaches known to alienate players , who have been let go from their respective orgainzation's because of they pushed for disastrous moves like:
1.moving stephen jackson and harrington
2.pushing for Ben Wallace and not developing Tyrus Thomas, and of course constantly ctricizing Chandler and Curry.

Yes- definitely thats what a young, rebuilding team filled with veterans who have constantly under-performed in every city they have been - really need. After all- we all regret Lb (who was desperately trying not to get Jalen Rose, Steve Francis) - because he was not 'trying' to prove who wore the pants.

I am sure like Larry - their people skills, diplomacy and flexibility would be invaluable in nurturing a rebuilding team.

What does Stephen Jackson and Al Harrington have to do with Scott Skiles?

Tyrus Thomas is another immature idiot.

You're bitching about a coach who pushed that fat waste of life Eddy Curry? I want Curry in tears every single day for the rest of his career!

And it's a conclutuon we as fans were dead wrong about Larry Brown. He was 100% right.

I would honestly like to see them give Patrick Ewing the job- why? Because I think it would give the guys like Dolan that worry people won't show if you publicly say rebuilding a reason to show up to watch 'rebuilding'.

Plus- he is a new voice, new face- I don't want Skiles- I don't like his style, but we already know what he can and can't do.

The other guy I would love for them to consider bringing in is Paul Westphal - especially since the game is evolving into free flowing offense and he might maximize the value of the players we have- lots of guys that don't play defense, but can score.

That is the absolute worst thing you can do. Maximize these players? They stink. Rebuild and build a team the RIGHT way with defense and rebounding.

Great! I agree! But tell me what you are going to do with Zach and Eddy for the next 3/4 years that we have them under contract? They don't play defense- so just bury them on the bench?

You're better off trying to showcase their talents & try to move them- for next to nothing if possible, but avoid taking back awful deals.
