When he's not practicing half court shots he's teaching Malik a thing or three

I'm sure Nate found joy in breaking Malik's ankle meanwhile CLANK!

I was watching the Dunk Contest Show on TNT before the Saturday night All Star Competitions. They were interviewing Spud Webb and Dominique, talking about the dunk contest that Spud won.

Dominique was saying how he, and nobody else on the Hawks, knew that Spud could dunk like that because he never did it in practice. Then Spud said that nobody knew because he spent all his practice time trying to learn how to play at the NBA level. Dunking to him was nothing more than show and not worth fooling around with in practice, because his priority was getting better as a player.

And then there's Nate.

Did he just teach Malik how to miss a three ? Typical Nate. Why do I never see this clow practicing without smirking and laughing like a third grader ? Can't he just learn how to be serious ?

If he gives me enough points, 10 dimes no turnovers and decent defense per game I don't care if he goes around in joker makeup laughing all day.

This Shrimp laughed after missing the shot.

I can't stand him still even after his minor improvements this yr.

After watching this video and the one Cosmic posted this team is laughing at almost everything. They have nothing to laugh about. If they're mad or throwing water and punches at each other, it's not because they're trying to get better as an individuals or a team, it's because they didn't get the ball/their touches so they could showboat dribble and launch airball 3's.

To go along with your comment watching a segment on ATL/Spud/Nique it calls to mind a commercial I enjoyed watching last yr quite often that showcased players and their hard work and commitment to the game. They rarely show them anymore because the NBA is promoting "WHERE INSERT HAPPENS". There was one particular commercial showing Yao Ming shooting drills well before Tip-Off at a game. It was a game at MSG, because you could see the court and and the empty seats. He was shooting with a trainer from various spots on the floor it looked like, in particular from 2ft from the elbow close to the arc. Shot after shot he was throwing up with perfect form and rotation, never missing Nobody else around, and no one-on-one break your ankles CLANK bullchit.

Does anyone recall what Yao did to us(our frontocourt) last yr at the Garden?.............NUFF CED!

And then you hear about Eddy Curry regularly arriving to the arena 90 minutes before tipoff, along with Isiah "Mr. Nobody Is Going To Work Harder Than Me" Thomas, and then throwing up a couple of jumphooks before gametime and heading back to the lockerroom. No work ethic whatsoever.

Add to that the NBA assistant who quizzically asked "What are they doing over there?" when he looked down to the other end of the court to watch the Knicks prepare for a game. No coaching either.

relax, so he was fooling around a little bit with his teammate...it looks like practice was over anyway. nate's personality is one of those things you'll have to accept - at least he plays hard and with heart. he might not be the smartest player, but he's like john starks...if we were winning, nobody would be hating on nate. curry is different - he shows no effort or heart in the game, thats why i cant stand him
