For all those who scream Lottery, this may be the most creative way to get a franchise player.

Get Gerald Green. This kid SCREAMS potential. He reminds me of Gerald Wallace when he was with Sac-Town. This kid is all raw potential and he can be had for a song. Minny is going to let him wal and we will not have the cap space to sign this kid. Mardy Collins works for him. Randolph Morris works for him.

He played well last season when he got time. Please for all the talk of the lottery, this kid has shown he can play in this league a little bit.

Get Gerald Green.

Gerald Green is a guy getting no time on the worst team in the NBA. Green is not a franchise player.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

joe qualified the title by saying he thinks the kid has the potential one... you may have missed that.

i don't know if i'd agree w/him having franchise level potential or not, but the kid definitely has upside that i would love to take a flyer on... i wanted the Knicks to draft him anyway... if we could get him for anything other than our lottery pick or D Lee, i say go for it... nothing to lose & everything to gain AFAIC.
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

Why would you want a player with potential upside when we have a team of players who show full downside? Are you on drugs/drunk/lobotomized? j/k

Actually, I think the most interesting development of the season is that finally the myth that Isiah has been an expert drafter is debunked. Most of his picks have looked terrible this year.

I wouldn't mind getting Green. Ultimately, our model should be to get as many high ceiling young players as possible, surrounded by some HIGH CHARACTER veterans. As such, I support this trade idea.

Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

Exactly. At some point Isiah, has to make a choice. He touted Morris as "another lottery pick", and the kid isn't playing at all. I was excited about him too. The "projects" he drafted are low ceiling low reward. Gerald Green is exactly the type of gamble you look to take. Low Risk, High Reward!

Yeah. What can I say, it was a wild weekend.

As I said before, Green for us would be low risk, high reward, IMO. I really can't believe other teams aren't lining up for this kid. I didn't even want to draft him during the draft. But Minny put themselves in a situation where they couldn't have made his value any lower.

Randolph Morris(expiring) and maybe even a future second rounder (not this year) for him.
