There's a dangerous situation brewing here, with Isiah Thomas having the ability to make moves when everyone knows he knows his butt is on the line if this team fails to make the playoffs.

Thomas was asked at Monday's practice iif he can do anything he wants to do with the roster, which includes taking on salary if that kind of deal presents itself?

"Yes," he said.

So you're not under any restrictions?

"No."

And with this in mind, Jason Kidd may have an impact on Knick history one last time as a Net. Isiah said he feels the Kidd trade to Dallas dramatically changes the climate in the East among teams vying for that last playoff spot.

"We’re sitting here today, if Kidd leaves Jersey, there’s still five-six teams that could move in," he said. "We’re one of those teams, so everybody in the league is still thinking and hoping they have a shot at it."

Be very afraid.

Tell you what, if Isiah adds salary and is here next season, I am ****ing done with this worthless team.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

OMG he's still trying to win games, make the playoffs and EFF up our draft position possibly taking on more salary.

Well, considering his past few (or is that all) trades brought us closer to the lottery, I think any further trades will just solidify a top 3 pick.

Bring it on

depends on what player he's gonna go after & what he's gonna give up... he better not give up that 1st rounder for anything other than a legit franchise player.

TMS - IF he gives up our first rounder it WILL BE LOTTERY PROTECTED. He is eating crow (along with Dolan) for giving up the last two lotto picks, what we all know could have been.

Looking forward to the next few days. Hopefully we get rid of Zach, Eddy, Q and a few other non performers. I wouldn't mind keeping Zach, depending on the other trades. Even Eddy with Lee was not so bad starting. We'll see...

If he is talking playoffs still he has to make a playoff move with the roster. He needs to get the Knicks some help.

Like that thread I started the other day. If this clown does nothing. Fire him......since Dolan has made Isiah indestructable, we may all abandon ship.

It all depends on what this clown does or doesn't do at this trading deadline.

he's just blowing smoke. I don't for a second believe Dolan is this idiotic that he would allow Isiah to make more move involving moving any of our picks or adding salary.

He might be saying as much to a reporter to give him leverage for dump type trades he is looking to make.

The only trades I want are for players with expiring or shorter contracts.

I guess we better get going on making up our "Welcome Kenny Thomas" banner.

Classic Isiah Trade:

08 1st rounder
David Lee
Marbury's 09 expiring

for

Ron Artest
Kenny Thomas
And some other piece of crap on a long term deal

Isiah Reasoning: Artest is better than anyone in the 08 draft. I did the trade to get Artest (meaning, taking on thomas and others while giving up Lee was necessary just to get 1 guy in Artest).

*******************

Deadly deal #2:

08 1st
Lee
Marbury Expiring

for

Miles & LaFrentz.

Why? Isiah loves Darius Miles. Hell...Isiah is still waiting by the phone for Eddie Robinson to call back and claim he's healthy again and is ready to sign that 5 year MLE deal that was on the table for him in 04.

******************

Scary draft night Isiah trade:

08 1st round selection
David Lee
Marbury's expiring

for

Washingtons 08 1st round selection
Max-Extended Gilbert Arenass

.............please....for the love of god.........SOMEONE FIRE ISIAH before he adds even more **** to this team! PLEASE!!!!!!

I don't think its matters any more.
Regardless of what Isiah will do I am switching to future Brooklyn Nets if Isiah will not be fired.
At the end of the day I was leaving in Brooklyn not in the City. And Nets future is very intriguing considering Knicks fall and the crew which is hanging around the Nets move.

In a warped sense......Craw and Arenas backcourt could work if Isiah gets some horses up front. If that's the plan then go for it......that's just the Sam Smith in us going wild.......

Kmart/lee
Artest
Someone with skates at center
Craw
Arenas
Nate as 6th man cuz its not a bad thing, wilson or balkman still around.....

I cannot believe that people still trust Isiah to make any solid moves. How many times can a sane intelligent human being be fooled before it sinks in that each move Isiah makes is just progressively worse. The Knicks have no business in the playoffs so at this point just wait for the ax to come down on Isiah and wait for the next GM to make any future moves.

Isn't Isiah the guy that brought you your Zach?
