I'm watching C-span right now. Michelle Obama just finished speaking.......

I never ever saw a potential 1st lady speak this way.....even deeper than that.....I have never heard a woman, no matter what race or name they have, speak the way this woman does. She is downright scary.

She's a better speaker than Hillary. When Hillary was the 1st lady I don't remember her saying a WORD! Now she is a senator.......she had no experience before that, yet her campaign has been attacking Obama's "experience".

I'm so upset that Obama didn't win NY.....people said he could never win southern states, but he's winning more southern states and other "white" states handily. Kinda makes you look at this country a little different.

Anyway, Mrs. Obama is wicked. I listened to everything she said......one thing she said that took me back, was that her and Obama still have student loans to pay! They have about 3 years left. When was the last time you have heard a president that still has student loans to pay off? Its crazy.....

Hillary and Barack are both saying the same things. Its really about who do you trust. Its also about who can you relate to. Barack is black, but he's just as white. He was raised by his white mother and then his white grand parents in Kansas. He knows what it is to be american on alll levels. He wasn't rich or apart of any powerful circle of people. He is american.

The way the Obama's speak is real to me. Its not just politics. The Clintons have always said the right things. Bill has shown his ass in this campaign. Showing kind of a dark side. He has been kicking dirt and being nasty with it. Hillary just seems phoney.

Again, as far as issues, they both are saying the same things. I just can't see how anyone can sit and watch either family speak and not want run through a wall for the Obama family.

Mrs Obama is a beast.....she's just a first lady. She is a better candidate than Hillary. Sometimes you can forget that she is speaking for Barack.

I can't see a republican winning this election. Even if you are a hardcore republican. You can't deny what the democrats are saying in general. When the Obamas speak man.....how can you not feel what the democrats are saying.

Its just too ill. I'm not even a political guy. I hate politics. I have issues with the US goverment......still I think these Obama's are wicked. If you haven't done so yet? Try to catch them on C-Span.

I like Obama political program. But I cannot understand why he is considered minority candidate.
He is not African American for sure. White mother and Kenyan farther. Raised in Indonesia...
The color of the skin is irrelevant - I know people with black skin from Africa, India, Israel (they are Jews from Morocco), and US. So color means nothing.
Culturally he is white from South as most of US presidents were.
A lot of political spin and no substance

There is one problem eny, if Obama wins he is sure to be taken out by the powers(assassinated) that be who wants the country to continue in the downward cycle it's in right now.

If Hillary becomes the vice president , she will then become president and the drama continues.

Just like JFK and Lyndon B Johnson. Know your history!

Ah, forget the color thing it means nothing right now. He gts positives and negatives for the color of his skin.

He will be next President of the US because he is by far the most presidential man I have ever seen. Is oratory skills are second to none! When he speaks, ordinary people want to believe every word he says. The man is an astonishingly adept public speaker, and compared to him Clinton sound like a bumbling fool. She has been playing catchup to every one of his speeches since "Yes We Can", and that will not stop.

Ive been following the Obama campaign, and I must say, he is the most impressive politician I have heard since Churchill. As long as he doesnt change once he's in office, you guys should change your rules about 2 term presidents. Thats how serious I think this guy is.

I just feel bad for McCain, becauase he's a lame duck Republican candidate with no hope in hell of becoming president.

Playa2: You make an interesting point, and one I discussed alot when I was working for Obama in New Hampshire and New York. But you have to take that chance. To not support, run or vote for someone because you're afraid they might be killed is silly.

The greatest people in history were killed, but at least people took chances on them. The Ghandis, the Kings, the Kennedys. Most every President has assassination attempts on them, its part of the territory. You just hope technology and the secret service have come far enough.

Barack Obama is an amazing man who transcends all. The petty desperation of the Clintons, and whats sure to come, the bordering on evil, disgusting campaign the Republicans will run. The xenophobia, racism and attacks of the conservative racism will only be roadblocks to a transformation and inspiration that he can bring to the United States.

Hillary is so obsessed with being President, that she has become the enemy she fought for so long. Karl Rove learned the best way to destroy political enemies is to focus on their strengths. Thats why her campaign has become so much about his speeches. I can sit here for 20 paragraphs and tear her apart intellectually, but theres no reason.

The point is Barack Obama is the first time in my political life (I volunteered for Bill Clinton, Gore, Kerry, Spitzer) that I have genuinly cared and been excited about a politican.

Oh and Michelle Obama is a beast. She looks tough too. Id be afraid to MMA with her.

Do you really think Obama has chances when he will go to presidential elections against any republican and all this brainwashed voters will come to the pools in place of exited partisan activists in primaries?
There is no better way to lose the elections for democrats that have Obama as their candidate.

Apparently you don't understand what those words mean here in America. If this was 1960 and you looked anything like Obama looks or Tiger woods for that matter, then your ass was "Negro" or "Colored". It's as simple as that. You got lumped into a group. If you by chance spoke spanish then you'd be subdivided into the hispanic group, but still a minority. The African Diaspora has given birth to a myriad of mixed race combinations wherever the slave trade took those Africans in the world. It doesn't change a thing if Obama's Father was from Africa and he is an American citizen, then he's an African American and part of a minority. That's how it is here.

People of mixed race be it African and Euro in particular were considered black, no matter what the actually complexion. IF they found out you had a black parent or even grandparent you'd be black no matter how light you looked. MOST so called African Americans have some degree of Euro DNA due to the high incidence of rape that went on during the 200+ years of slavery in the U.S. In every sense of the word Obama is a Minority. The way this country legally identified those of mixed race had always been to consider that person to be black or non-white. Thus most every African American today that has some mixed heritage is put into the same group, myself included. Just because my great grandfather was white, it hasn't made a bit of difference in how I have been perceived by the white majority in this country from the 60's thru to today. I look black outwardly and that's all that matters. I have a family that is all over the map in terms of skin tone. We go from black as night to pale as can be and at all times we've been classified as African Americans and part of a minority in this country. That's how it goes in this country.

P.S. The Native American blood we have in my family doesn't change things either.

So nicely put Nixluva, even the hardest of heads couldn't disagree with what you just said.

I guess this is true. You know it better that me.
But things are going to change. Whites (whatever you call it) will be minority pretty soon.
This race thing is getting old very fast and will not be the source of discrimination and the source of excuse in the near future.
Unfortunately to keep the race card in hand is still beneficial for politicians and so called “leaders” from both sides and I hope this will became irrelevant soon and another crap-load will be removed from understanding the real value of the human being.
