This team sucks, no direction. Isiah changes things every 2 weeks. ENOUGH ALREADY!! Get Colangelo or Walsh and lets try to fix this. We do need an experienced GM. We can't take a chance on someone to further mess this up.
fishmike 9/27/2024 11:00 PM Ug I hate this. The idea of Towns is great until you see what a pussy he is. Jules is a dog. DD was a flamethrower locked up cheap for 3 more years. First Leon move I hate

Sorry to tell you the truth but it's not the GM. It's the stupid Owner who's at fault.

You get rid of Zeke and they'll replaced him with another buffoon idiot who will be playing the puppet role under Dolan.

Dolan is not willing to improve this team in no kind of way. As a knicks fan, we got to deal with this embarrassing culture.

Hopefully something changes but unlikely with Dolan in full control.

wood i'm not totally convinced of that. he put a ridiculous amount of money in isiah's hands. why wouldn’t a competent gm have been able to score big-time with that?

I agree. I think that Dolan can be a blessing and a curse. Isiah has proved that he is not the person you want to trust with the assets that Dolan throws around. Many people say that Dolan is forcing Isiah's hand with a "win now" mandate. Well, if so -- why hasn't Isiah been fired already? He certainly hasn't "won now". That leads me to believe that Dolan isn't as influential on management as some might think he is.

bit of a gray area there too. Dolan made the HUGE mistake of signing Isiah to an extension. Soon after, maybe last season or towards December he realized his mistake. Dude is spiteful if anything, and why not torture Isiah a little by letting him sit and spin while he figures out long term what he wants to do and implements that plan. Did it already once with Larry Brown, right?

It takes time to reach out to a new GM, and rest assured the Knicks WILL have to replace everyone from GM down, and that takes a VERY long time.

IF we don't make a trade by the deadline, I think that means Isiah is gone and that Dolan is making Isiah earn every penny by making him coach every game that he can. Isiah may be playing the game back by not using the rookies and only showing up 1 hour before gametime or having short shoot-arounds or whatever.

Either way, the fans are getting screwed.

Right. Plus, Dolan's reluctance to fire Isiah further emphasizes that he did not fire Larry Brown for poor performance, but rather for violations of the media policy. As long as Dolan hangs onto Isiah, he can say, "see if LB had just followed the media policy, he could have stayed longer and gotten his chance to perform despite his struggles". Considering the controversy surrounding the firing of Brown, that might be playing to Dolan's rationale as well.

It is the owner. He keeps hiring horrible GM's. If he could accidentally hire a good one, we might see a turnaround.

Does anyone else find themselves sobbing uncontrollably at random times due to the Knick situation, or is it just me?

Luckily, I quit the Knicks at the right time. Normally, I would have suffered some type of Knicks withdrawal, but when the GIANTS took over the NFL playoffs and marched to victory -- I was cured of any sadness the Knicks might cause.

I can honestly say that in the last month I have not watched more than one complete game (and that's true even if you add all the pieces of games that I've caught here and there).

As far as bball goes in general, I did watch GS v. PHX last night -- that was awesome. It got me excited for the Western Conference Playoffs.

Yes, GS is a great team to watch. It's my new adopted team.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

Isiah tells us yesterday that the league is going small. A few months ago he trades for Zach Randolph so that he can go big. It's hard winning with a GM that doesn't agree with his own philosophy.

How does he still have a job? It's amazing.

"What's happening in this league is a lot of teams are playing really small," Thomas said. "It's a slow phasing out of the big man in this league. A lot of teams are playing really small and shooting the 3 ball, and if you don't adjust and adjust quickly you can find yourself down 12, 15 points."

AHHHHHWTF.

I mean he has to say something.. I guess. But this is just silly, almost funny

Why not make the other team match up to you and overpower them? Why get power people and then sit them down. He has no clue. Remindsme of Van Gundy when he 1st got Camby. He didn't want him and sat him alot, claimed "match-up problems". Let the other team have problems matching up to us. It really is frustrating that we are stuck with Curry and then you see Gasol get traded for nothing and he is SO MUCH more versatile and better than Curry. You also see Detroit and SA win with defense(I know Duncan) and why not at least play guys who can defend ther azz off and seewhat happens. Anything has to be better than what we are playing. NO trades, no new coach, we need a new GM and let him rebuild.

He didn't agree with Lenny or Larry's either, so at least he's consistent.

He's tough but fair. I mean insane.

The problem is in our case he's right. But he's only right because Zach and Eddie are so atrocious on defense that when other teams go small we have to get them out of the game. It's just a shame that everyone in the world could see this before the season started, except for the most important one.......isiah.

I swear he has to be doing this on purpose. How could he possibly make that statement about the league going small after his last two blockbuster moves. It's almost like he has forgotten that he is the GM
