out in two year and doesnt pick up the two years at 21 million dollar option. If Eddy opts out and Zach is traded we can rebuild much quicker. Have Zach making 17 million at the end of his contracts is just a killer.

What is that tattoo that peeks out of Eddy's jersey again? "Never Forget" or "Never Again"?

It had something to do with him feeling under-appreciated as a presumed all-star, but whatever it was I forget, and I imagine he would to if he didn't have it permanently inscribed on his chest.

"Never Mind" perhaps?

He would've opted out if we could've kept him around the level of last year. Now he's virtually useless. Who knows- he may still opt out just to get out at this point. I don't see him passing up the money, but misery is also a motivating force.

We can still consider buying him out at half what he is owed. Someone will throw their MLE at him so that he isn't loosing money.

Unless he desperately wants out of NY (which is possible, I guess), I don't see why he'd take anymore than a buyout that would reduce his contract by $2 million a year. Most players, if they get a buyout, do it in such a way that they make out on the deal.
