Peace, eVil!
I'm down with checking your group sometime too, and if you ever are interested in a DJ to play with you all live, like to do cuts/scratches, I'd be interested. I have done that for my group, and several others primarily, although now I'm doing more production work.
Actually, the gigs I was referring to was my own DJing live. I play every other Sat. at a lounge Uptown, called Sip. It's a real chill spot, with a good vibe. It's modeled a bit after my podcast called 'Indelible Beats' which is an eclectic mix of what I consider to be dope beats and rhythms of all genres for dancing or 'head nodding.' Of course, I've been fortunate enough to have worked with and be on the label of my idols, Public Enemy, which I sometimes still can't believe, but I love and play sht more than hip-hop now-a-days.
Ok, here's a cheap promo for my gig to hijack 93Buick's thread:

I have always been down with hardcore, punk and rock, even though I don't play a lot of it live. I used to do a crazy fusion show in college that mixed hardcore/metal and whatever I felt like which was great.
What I can say is I always support artists/musicians trying to do there thing in a city that seems less and less conducive to living that life, unless you have certain assets many don't. That's actually part of why I am so interested in doing the work I do outside of music.
Peace and mad respect to all musicians and artists!
