The Nets and Knicks are two of the most underachieving teams in the NBA -- based on their talent level, subjectively speaking -- but by all accounts, coaches Lawrence Frank and Isiah Thomas are likely to keep their jobs right up until April. What happens beyond that is anyone's guess. No coach is fireproof, especially when teams re-evaluate during the summer, but given that Frank ($9 million) and Thomas ($24 million) have an extraordinary amount of money coming to them, it would take a lot of convincing for their respective owners to fall out of love with them in the next three months. JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.
