Thabeet will be a big time defensive presence. Hibbert won't hold up.

Love Hibbert but right now Thabeet is showing that he can be a very special player in the NBA. Hibbert is more polished offensively(but not by a whole lot) and Thabeet is better defensively, but the thing is that Hibbert is a senior and Thabeet is only a sophmore. I think Thabeet will stay in school for another year and next year he could push for the #1 pick in the draft, especially if he improves offensively as much this summer that he has during this season.

Thabeet is the better prospect 10fold.

Hibbert is a good player, but he just doesn't have that dominant skill or athleticism. He's come a long way and probably still has a ways to go- but as nyk says he is a senior, at this point how much more can he learn. Thabeet can be a defensive enforcer. He's improved in leaps rather than increments.

Hibbert stinks he will be like Diop in the NBA which is nothing.
I want to leave something that's going to stand for a long timeI want to leave a legacy,I want to leave tradition.I want to leave an imprint,a blueprint in terms of how people play, and how they coach and how they respond when they put on the Knick uni.

Hibbert has a much better offensive skillset than Diop. He'll be better all around than Diop but I would definitely take Thabeet before Hibbert. Thabeet has the potential to be a Mutombo like defensive player.

Thabeet!!! I just like his overall package. I think we need a defensive presence that can strike fear in opponents and he's also been making strides offensively. He doesn't have to be great offensively, but if he can hold down the middle for us that would mean a lot for our defense. There's gonna be a cumulative effect to adding a guy like him to the mix. It will make guys like Balkman even better having that kind of presence behind him.
