Here are my thoughts from being at the parade!

First the procession...

-As a tribute to my favorite punt returner, I took the RW line down to City Hall.

-Set up on the City Hall side over by Murray St. and Broadway.

-The chants were hilarious- "You're side sucks" across the street. "Get back to work" to the buidings. Boston sucks. 18-1....huge and vocal turnout!

-I high fived Allan Houston! I guess he was the only non-Giant NY athlete there. He was walking with his baby boy.

-The most enthusiastic float was the one that contained Steve Smith, Michael Jennings and Amani Toomer. Toomer and Jennings were really whooping it up with the 18-1 chant.

-HUGE ovations for Eli and Strahan.

-"1 more year," "Spags don't Go," "Redskins suck" and chants of defense for Spagnuolo, who seemed to genuinely appreciate it.

-Kevin Boss is a massive human being and easy to pick out anywhere.

-Antonio Pierce- that man can fire up a crowd. Everyone on his float was subdued and he was going nuts celebrating with everyone.

-Lawrence Tynes is SUCH a douchebag! He freaking pulled a Leonardo DiCaprio in "Titanic" king of the world move on the float!

For the ceremony...

-Why the **** did they have the worst sound system in the entire city for this parade. Bad enough that the gates were closed with a bunch of chairs empty. Gotta at least make this thing loud so us little folk can here.

-I set up right at the side of City Hall near the jumbo trons. LOUD chorus of boos when Whoppi Goldberg was announced first!

-Since when did the Superbowl become so political. I hated that it turned into a Bloomberg/Spitzer/Schumer promotion fest. Actually Spitzer's speech was good. No one seemed to join me in my "Forget Chuck Schumer, We Want Toomer!" chants. Bloomberg was booed everytime he hit the mic!

-Great speeches by Coughlin and Strahan. Mike Strahan really got the crowd going with the stomp. Tons of "1 more year chants!" The city erupted with "MVP" chants for Eli!

-Plaxico, Osi and Shockey were noticably absent (IR is not an excuse! Kiwi and Jennings were there!). I guess Osi was in Hawaii. It's too bad cause the city LOVES Plaxico. There were chants of Plaxico erupting everytime someone who looked by him went buy. And all I kept hearing was "where's Plax?"

-All in all a fun time even with the rain! It was like being in the parking lot of Giants stadium without the alcohol.

Just found out that Plax didn't show cause he sprained his MCL in the shower before the game. And the man still played and scored the game winning TD! Holy crap. He actually was at the rally at Giants stadium that followed the NYC parade.
