I wish I was a Giants fan right now. Everyone talking about the team, the players, relishing in the good vibes of a franchise that was once counted out by naysayers and now being heralded in the Canyon of Heroes.

But alas, I'm a fan of an organization that every weeks slips further and further into irrelevancy. A team with nobody to root for, playing in a building built on nepotism and monopoly. ARRRGH!

And the only reason I logged in this morning, to find out if you guys knew what the hell is that thing on Jamal Crawford's shoulder?

It's actually an EZPass READER to read the EZ Pass of whoever he's guarding as the opposition blows by him for easy two. Unlike in NY, you don't have to slow down to 5 mph for it to register.

As for becoming a Giants fan, I'm not really into football. And I feel like I missed the window in my life when you make your sport team allegiances: when you are young, passionate and gullible.

In '86 I caught the Mets bug, in the 90s the Knicks bug -- those are my only teams. Don't know now why I would pick the Giants over the Jets at this point, choosing one over the other now as an adult would seems artificial. Either jumping on a bandwagon or rooting for an underdog. Plus none of them are blue & orange.

Though if MLS resurrected the New York Cosmos I would become a fan I think, certainly over the NY/NJ Harrison MetroSoft Drinks. I have some weird attachment to that team, even though I was only like 8 when they folded.

Maybe its just love for Pele, that brother was bad!

DrAlphaeus, never too late to jump on the bandwagon... i started rooting for the Giants after the '80 season when LT got drafted... everyone's gotta start somewhere.

Giants fan here since SuperBowl IXX. That was the first game I watched and it was Marino's Dolphins vs. Montana's 49'ers. I went on to watch the Giants next season, when the Bears won it all. But then the next year was 1986, and we all know what happened.

It's a heat patch, that soothes his shoulder while playing , also in his mind it makes him think he's at war!

yo, that '86 team was just dominant, but i have to say this year's SB victory has just trumped them for me personally just cuz of all the crap they went through to get their & who they had to beat to win it & how they won it... the '90 team were underdogs too but Jeff Hostetler just didn't do it for me for some reason... i wanted Simms in there to get his 2nd ring that year... this year was just an AMAZING run on every possible level... the only thing that's missing is LT for me... he's always gonna be my favorite Giant of alltime no matter what.
