He used to be a one dimensional player..he could score. This season he has rarely even done that! This "professional" has no clue how to play defense; last night put me over the edge when he was complaining about a blown coverage that he was responsible to rotate on! Atleast his coach and teammates started to finally call him out. This guy is a waste to our team. He obviously can't control his weight and is out of shape half-way into the season despite playing every night and practicing daily. Its a disgrace we are paying this guy to do nothing. It is apparent that he does not have the physical or mental toughness to play in New York and its time for him to go.
Now I hear that people want to play him off the bench. Is that what we are paying him franchise type money for!!? I had to vent on this... I know its all been said before, but it is so frustrating to sit here every night and watch him do nothing but collect two quick fouls and head to the bench night in and night out (and shake his head like its everyone elses fault). My foolish optimism makes me think every night that this is going to be the game he gets it, this is going to be the game he turns it around. C'mon, this dude was dominating Dwight Howard last year and look at him now (Howard)- guy is a beast! How does Curry wake up everyday and look in the mirror when he knows he is cheating everybody and most importantly himself? He could be what Dwight Howard is and will be for the next 5 plus yrs, but instead he would rather be lazy, unprepared, and blame everyone else when it is all his fault!
I hate to call out a player and call him a bust, especially making a thread that says it in the title, but players who get labeled as a "bust" do so for a reason. They have all the talent and potential in the world and they waste it. Eddy Curry has wasted a tremendous opportunity here in New York and its time to move on. I've been dealing with watching crappy basketball for what? 6 years now? Players who don't care and don't even try when things start to get tough.. Geez, and to think people used to boo guys like Patrick Ewing...
