I think I have the perfect solution to fix the knicks. Trade Eddy Curry and Mardy Collins and a top 15 protected pick to Chicago for Tyrus Thomas and Joe Smith.

I think chicago will do this move in a second, becasue it gives them the low post scorer they have been so desperately looking for, and after 2 years, they should have no worries about the heart.
And the KNicks do this deal because they get the rebounding, shot-blocking, defensive monster we have been looking for.

And Tyrus Thomas is a defensive MONSTER, he was rated 2nd last season by 82games.com for the defensive composite score, which rates a players defensive effectiveness.

Due to New York and Chicago being over the cap, the 25% trade rule is invoked. New York and Chicago had to be no more than 125% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

For offense, Jamal, Nate, and Randolph can all have their shots, because lee and thomas do not need shots to score. And we will have TONS of offensive boards with lee thomas and ZBO. I think the most important thing is the SF improvement, although thomas cant really shoot, he has a positive aspect of his game, which is his athleticism, which is one more thing which Q brings. I love that he can finish too, I can just picture it now, nate penetrates, and does one of his slick passes to a cutting Thomas, who throws it down.

On Defense, Thomas can guard 3-5, and balkman can guard 1-4. so if you need a defensive stop, a lineup of Nate, Crawford, Balkman, Thomas, Lee is a pretty good defensive unit. A good blend of speed, size, and athleticism. Have Nate pressure the ball full court to take 3-4 seconds off the shot clock then just dig in defensively.


I say we have 45+ wins with that roster.

Not only do you lose a problem in curry, but you get a perfect compliment to zach randolph on both sides of the ball.

Its not that I don't get open, its that they don't get me the ball.
