1. Who are the best defensive shotblocking bigmen available in this year's draft?

2. How much potential does Randolph Morris have to fill that need on this roster if he ever got any playing time? Would simply playing him be a better option than using the draft pick to fill the need in the frontcourt?

1) thabeet and deandre Jordan. I am not that impressed with jordan tho..

2) we will never know what morris can do. To me that was a waste. Isiah won't play him, or chandler... typical coach trying to save his ass crap...

1) Hasheem Thabeet for sure. There are athletic bigs like Jordan, DeVon Hardin, Mareese Speights than can block shots- but no one is really in line to be the enforce that Thabeet can be.

2) Morris can rebound well and has some post moves. He's actually a viable center IMO, but he wouldn't replace the need for a shotblocker.

Right now, with Zach, Curry, and Lee.....how does he play? Its not fair to him but he is the one that signed in NY with Curry here.

He seems to be a confident guy. His body is very thick. His arms are short. He's not big for nothing like Curry but he doesn't have Currys twinkle toes. Yet Morris does seem to want to show his power on defenders.

Wish I can see more of him.....its wack having to go buy summer league and what minimal minutes he got in pre-season and season.

I love Thabeet for his size and atheletic ability. He's a bit raw, but we really don't need him for offense.

Morris seems to me like he'd be a solid backup Center. The little we've seen of him it's hard to say what kind of upside he has. Isiah's been blocking our kids this year, which I didn't really expect to happen. Even guys like Balk and Mardy kind of felt the pinch in minutes as Isiah did his best impression of LB.

Devon Hardin is a athletic freak. I can see him playing well somewhere is he has a good point guard. He's kind of a Kmart type.....all power, all nasty. He knows how to jump over take the hit and 2 hand bang all over you. His shot doesn't look bad but you rarely see him shoot. Its all nasty hops.

That's what I've been saying- when they get this kid in the workouts and combines they will see that he jumps out the gym and he will rocket up boards. He has that Keon Clark type of scary athleticism without the baggage (I think this dude had a 4.0 in HS or something).

7'3" w/shotblocking skills & athleticism... seems like he makes absolutely no sense for us.

any undersized weak defensive PF's out there?
